The family decided last minute that we wanted to get away for the weekend, so a quick search on homeaway and we found this place. We really weren't sure what to expect but the minute we pulled into the driveway we knew that we had found a gem. This place is absolutely amazing. We spent most of the time on the wrap around deck overlooking the beautiful lake, watching eagles fly over all day. The inside is so clean, and has that log cabin feel. The lake is very shallow, maybe 2 feet deep max, and i thought there was no way there could be any fish at all in this lake. Well let me tell you i was wrong. We ended up catching some of the biggest bluegills i have ever seen. And some bass too. All in all, this is by far one of the best get away weekends i have ever had, and will defiantly be coming back again. The owners are awesome too and very friendly. The only suggestion i have to them is please,please,please put a hot tub on that beautiful deck. Wouldn't that be sweet. I hope to be back soon. Thanks for everything!

If you want to get away, enjoy peaceful comfort, and relax, this is the place for you!
I needed to retreat and the cabin and the wooded setting provided well. The view from the cabin is outstanding and the massive windows provide a great spot to watch wildlife, the reflections on the lake, or if you are really attentive, the silent flight of a bald eagle, the osprey fishing, or a November meteor shower can be witnessed! The wrap-around deck also allows you to take it all in! The interior is warm and inviting and is well appointed. The owners are very attentive and are always available for your questions and concerns. This will remain on my short list of vacation spots in the future.

My husband, teenaged daughter, myself and our 2 dogs all had a wonderful week here! It's a very comfortable cabin, with most all the amenities of home. It's setting in the woods, by the lake is perfect if you're looking for peace and quiet, yet it's only a short drive to Ludington and Lake Michigan and all that offers, as well. Being able to bring our dogs along was such a big thing for us, as well as the affordability, especially considering how nice it is.

This cottage was just fantastic. The view of the lake and the privacy were just perfect. We had 4 guys fishing the Pere Marquette river so the sleeping accomodations with the loft worked great. The owners were very nice and promptly answered any questions I had. Hopefully we can do it again next year.

my husband and i were so excited to come. we brought our 16 yr. old son and his friend. we stayed for 4 nights. the cottage was beautiful and we were extremely pleased. i felt silly for thinking i needed to bring more than i actually had to since the cottage seemed to have everything i was so worried about. one problems we had were with the t.v.s but we very seldom watched them anyway or had a movie on. then the only other problem was that the bedroom seemed to get hot at night. we fished more than anything and caught and released so many fish it was WONDERFUL. the row boats were great and we really appreciated having the use of those. we grilled out twice, had fires enjoyed the yard and deck and view. we drove to Ludington a few times and also ate from Pizza Barn which was really good. we enjoyed it so much it killed us to leave. we are already trying to figure out when we can return. this was great for kids that enjoy fishing, rowing, or entertaining themselves or spending time with family and it was PERFECT for us that just want a beautiful surrounding and to be able to fish ALOT! :) we were so pleased with this cottage and i believe anybody that saw the pictures and thought about coming here would definately be pleased. the description of this property it exact. carri and craig are lucky to have such a wonderful place and are generous for allowing others to stay here and create their own memories. Thanks Carri and Craig! you will definately be hearing from us again for a return visit!!

Exactly as presented in photos. So many amenities not found elsewhere. The interior woodwork is beautiful. Our recent stay was perfect and comfortable. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet get-away. I am sure we will return in the near future.

My family and I were looking for a relaxing getaway where we could enjoy nature and still be near some fun family activities. This was a perfect fit!

The cabin is beautiful and the pictures are perfectly accurate. Everything was very clean and in perfect working order. The view off of the back deck is stunning.

I love to fish, especially for bass, and this lake was jammed full of largemouth. I really appreciated being able to use the row boats provided.

Ludington is only about 20 minutes away and that is nice town for families. The beaches are beautiful and Ludington State Park might be the nicest state park I have ever been in.

Overall our experience could not have been any better! Also, Carri was very easy to work with to setup our stay. We hope to make this an annual vacation spot.
