Highly recommended!! ... We were looking for a special place to stay for our wedding weekend and we found it! ... We stayed for three days at Rockhaven - the first night in the little Calico cabin, and then two nights in Uncle Pete's. As far as the facilities go, they are exceptional. Everything was spotless, and not one little detail for our comfort was missed. This is an extra-special place with a very rich history. Uncle Pete's has a beautiful full kitchen, deck and grill, bath with jacuzzi, large-screen t.v., WiFi and more. We felt like it was our own private home, moreso than a cabin. We enjoyed the view from the deck with our morning coffee and walked the beautiful grounds on a few occasions. In the evening as the sun went down, we sat on the front porch and enjoyed the view of the pond, and watched the horses graze in the background, all with the frame of a hill full of trees. It was breath-taking and peaceful. ... Our reservations were handled very professionally. The host and hostess were - well - just perfect. When we met them, we found that they are both genuinely friendly, kind, thoughtful, and hospitable. We enjoyed meeting them very much. ... Finally, the Mt Joliet area is lovely - just a few minutes from the airport and close to downtown Nashville. You are far enough away, but also close enough to Nashville and to every convenience that you may need. Also, there is plenty to do and see right there, such as parks and trails, a beautiful lake, horseback riding, restaurants, and so on. The owners had a binder with information on everything in the area including attractions, restaurants, etc. and this was very helpful. The binder also included the story of the cabins which we found fascinating! ... We wished we could have stayed longer - there just wasn't enough time. We plan to return whenever we can - especially for our anniversaries.
