Less than 1 hour from several ski slopes (Cannon Mtn., Burke, Brettonwood, Loon, Dartmouth Ski Mountain) and cross country skiing (Sugar Hill, Franconia XC). Also, many special locations, shopping, fishing, hiking, biking, restaurants, dark starry skies. Off the Kancamagus Highway in the Mountain Lakes Recreational Community. Private but minutes from swimming, playground, tennis, canoes and general store.

Fall Foliage Vacation

My mouth dropped when I walked through the door to your cabin. The internet pictures don't do it justice! It was everything we could have asked for, and more: comfort, privacy, warmth, cleanliness, you name it! We loved the decor and the moose theme. Our 3-year-old son was enamored as well; every day he would ask, "Are we going back to Lopes' house?" (He made his own "Lopes house" with the Lincoln Logs that were provided). We all walked the trails in the back, enjoyed the fire pit on the last night (s'mores for all), and sat out on the deck in the mornings. Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

Owner's Response: As a first grade teacher, I love being sure that there are things there for all ages to use. I love shopping for moose and other appropriate wild life to add to the decor. We use the house ourselves and want everyone who stays there to feel at home.

Great location! Great amenities! Well-stocked kitchen. We loved our stay during the fall foliage season. Explored White Mountains. Could easily have stayed a week instead of just 4 nights.

I can't say enough about the beauty of this home and location. Just perfect in all detail. My family ( Wife And 2 girls 8-12) had very relaxing yet fun filled 8 days. Location is very quite and secluded but all activities are very close to home. We visit the area often and will be pleased to know this home awaits us when we go back! Thank you very much Mr, Mrs Lopes it was a pleasure that you would share your home with us

The house was one of themost peaceful retreats I've ever stayed at. Absolutely quiet, comfortable and wonderful accomodations. the full kitchen was like cooking at home but without all the stress of a weekday dinner. Overall, very comfortable and clean accomodations!

A great time was had by all. The cabin looks marvelous. Looks like it was built by a true craftsman. We found everything we could want. Great skiing at Loon, only 1/2 hour away and a beautiful drive. We hope to return again. Your house feels so much like a home.

Beautifully built log cabin located away from most everything, but close enough to drive to. Very relaxing home, well kept and decorated. My family of 4 boys loved it there. They loved the gas fireplace,the log beds, and the whole second floor. It was the best vacation we have had. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

We enjoyed our NH vacation so much! Your "cabin" is beautiful, peaceful and so quiet. The scenery was breathtaking and those long winy rides on our motocycles were unbelievable in so many ways - just like being on a roler coaster at times, but with the beautiful lakes and mountains everywhere. Thank you so much for a fabulous week!

Wow! What a lovely place you have here. Rene and I had the most wonderful experience on our walk Friday. We encountered a black bear. We added over 800 miles on our motorcycle enjoying the scenery and wind in our faces. This location was perfect to go both points north and south.

I enjoyed stying in this magnificent cabin with really remarkable detail. Also a really good place to see animals. It was peaceful... beautiful walk in the woods! Nothing like having coffee on the deck in the morning.
