Our expectations were GREATLY exceeded with this wonderful condo! Beautiful view, comfortable bed (even the sleeper sofa was comfortable for the teen!) They had everything provided that we needed... beach umbrella, beach mats, sand toys, cooler, beach towels, etc., etc., etc.! The condo is in a great location, remote enough to get away from all the tourists if you wanted but close to the action if that is what you prefer! The private beach is amazing and nearly completely deserted most of the time (which we LOVE!) The big, flashy beaches are nearby. You can walk to the big beach just south of the condo, if you so desire. The farmer's market is awesome and right down the road-go there early in your stay to check out the schedule, it is not always open! When we flew in, we stopped at Wal-Mart to get some supplies for our stay, including condements, etc. NO NEED! I wish we would have checked the condo first, because almost everything you need is already there! We added several things for the next guests. :) I wish I could give this place 10 stars! Very professional owner, everything was just as she stated. We got the meet "The Captain" that lives there full-time... He is a hoot! The laundry facilities are top-notch and very reasonable. We used the clothes line - nothing like the smell of ocean-breeze dried clothes! Old Lahaina Luau was definitely worth the $. Deep-sea fishing WAS NOT.
:( Talk to the locals about fishing before you book. The road to Hana was great, we actually camped 1 nite at the State park near Hana so we would have more time (black sand beach, blow hole, arches, caves w/fresh water pools, AWESOME.) Leaving Hana, if you have time! go the back way and STOP at the Natl Park and walk the 2 miles to the waterfall! It is worth the trip, goes thru a bamboo forest, fresh-water pools to swim in. A little further is Charles Lindburgh's grave site at an off the path little church. CRAZY roads you have to see to believe, DON'T need 4x4! Then there is a winery (closes at 5PM) and there is always the crater. We missed the winery & crater because we swam and then walked to the waterfall. VERY beautiful and amazing. By Kehei is Big Beach, we really liked it (you can get to Little Beach by climbing a little bit, but beware, clothing optional! But, it is one of the pretties beaches we saw!) You will not be disappointed with this condo, it really is an amazing place! We had a blast... Mahalo!
