Whether you are looking for a relaxing island getaway or unique retreat to a coastal fishing village, this South West Florida cottage in historic St. James City, Florida, guarantees rest, relaxation, romance, and recreation.

Located at the southern end of Pine Island, a subtropical island with minimal traffic, St. James City, a laid-back village, offers first-hand views of Gulfside sunsets, swaying palm trees, and shoreline birds, such as pelicans, egrets, spoonbill, osprey, curlews, and blue herons.

Considered a nature lover’s paradise, this locale is renown for great fishing. Just minutes away, reel in impressive catches of snook, redfish, trout, sheepshead, mangrove snapper, or tarpon. Full service marinas are nearby for kayak and boat rentals as well as off-shore charter fishing trips. Explore kayak trails, discover Calusa Indian ruins, or tour outer islands of Sanibel, Captiva, Cayo Costa, Useppa and Cabbage Key for great shelling.

The cottage was everything the owner promised! It was truly lovely --- nicely furnished, well maintained, great backyard and ideal location! Shopping at the unique shops in Matlache was a treat --- the fishing wasn't bad either! During the week we visited with family who spend 3-4 months on Pine Island every year, and they were equally impressed with this lovely cottage. We would certainly recommend this property to anyone visiting St. James City, Pine Island.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities

We stayed two weeks in April and had a wonderful time. The neighborhood around the cottage is very peaceful and quiet with friendly neighbors. The cottage reminded us of our stays in Key West. You can see from the pictures that the cottage is very nice. St James City is a very unique and fun location. If you stay, you must visit the Waterfront and Woody's. We will return.

We've been home a month and are still talking about it! What a great place to stay- quiet and comfortable, but close to so very much! We had a great time and hope to be talking to Chris and Dan again soon about a trip next year!

beautiful cottage inside and out. had a wonderful time, if all you plan on doing is relaxing, this is the spot. water view not so easy to see, it's really a canal across the street but the neighbors and people of st james city are very friendly. great fireworks show! went for 4th of july wwekend. wiil go back again!

We had a wonderful time. It is a very nice & clean cottage (loved the patio). We like to fish so it was a great location. We enjoyed taking the boat to all the beaches. It is a very laid back area.We would rent from them again!!!

Delightful cottage in a quiet location, equipped with the necessities of modern living. The screened lanai is large and comfortably furnished -- a great place to relax. Owners are very helpful and gave us complete privacy. A chilled bottle of champagne waiting in the fridge was a nice touch!
