Northwest secluded shore of Silver Lake in Lee, Maine. Cottage is 9 miles east of Lincoln off Rt. 6 on 'Old Steamboat Rd.' Cottage is one of the last cottages on a dead end road. Very secluded. Lake has a public boat ramp and public beach. Our waterfront has small stones but safe for kids. No severe drop-off. Cottage has its own private dock for sunbathing, boat docking, etc. Roofed in deck with rocking chairs, gliders, and gas grill. Small aluminum boat w/ 3 hp motor may be available, at no charge, upon request. The 'Cape' (Our first rental) sleeps 6, with 4-season availability.

My husband and I spent a week in November 2006 at this cottage on the lake. We were greeted by the lovely scent of a Maine Blueberry candle burning on the stove, the freshness of clean linens and a loaf of home baked bread.
The cottage is well equipped with the essentials for cooking and baking, not to mention nice extras such as spices etc. The owners are very gracious and were able to offer us tips on where to visit and how to get there. The woodstove in the kitchen made for nice cozy nights and the owners supplied more than enough firewood. We will be returning to Maine this autumn and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else.
