We just returned from a one week stay at Folly, and had a wonderful visit. The weather was a bit chillier than expected, and having just been through a long and snowy winter in CT, we had been hoping for it to be a little warmer. We did not get to enjoy the beach, but then again, the main purpose of the visit was to visit our daughter who is College of Charleston, and we did not want to stay in the city center this time. Because of the weather, NOT the house, we are rating our visit as good...with better weather, it would be excellent!!!!!
It is an easy drive out to Folly (rush hour can be a little long), and we made the round trip at least once a day. Loads of fun and family friendly dining options out in Folly (our favorite is the Lost Dog Cafe for breakfast and lunch).
At the end of long days touring around the Charleston area, and walking, shopping, and dining in the city, Lamm's End was a wonderful and welcoming home! It is very clean and very comfortably furnished, and as our kids all pointed out, the beds are very comfortable and "the sheets are so soft"! The kitchen is well appointed and has been recently updated. On the chillier nights (and it was quite chilly!) the heat kicked in quickly and we were nice and toasty!
My husband and son had 2 very successful fishing excursions with Tucker Blythe of Grey Ghost Charters, and caught 3 huge red fish, 26" , 30", and 32". They had a great time and highly recommend him.
We would love to return to Folly in warmer weather to experience more of what the area has to offer, and would return to Lamm's End. The owner was a pleasure to work with, and we actually got to meet her briefly on our first day.

Rented house for a long 3 day weekend for 3 couples to celebrate a 50th birthday. Had a fantastic time. Did a lot of cooking and house was very well stocked, very clean & comfortable for all to spread out and have some space. Views were great on both front and back of house. Within walking distance to Morris Island Lighthouse viewing point which had a gorgeous beach. Would definitely rent again. Thanks!!

I have just returned from a weeks stay at Folly Beach at Lamm's end and it was simply the best week of my life. The beach house is very clean, comfortable and inviting. I found such tranquility by sitting on the porch at night and in the morning, just listening to the waves crashing in. I got up every morning just to see the sunrise and made sure to see as many sunsets as I could. The kitchen is very well equipped and the meals we shared as a family are some of the most treasured memories of the trip. Beth Powers-Lamm was on top of everything with the arrangements and always responded quickly to my emails while planning the trip. Thank you Beth, for sharing your corner of paradise with my family. My parents, brothers and sister in law all agreed with me that this was the best family reunion we have ever had. THANK YOU! As for local attractions, I enjoyed touring St Michael's church, the carriage ride through the city, and touring the customs building where I received a great history lesson in Old Charlestown.

Our week at Lamm's End started when we opened the door and the house just smiled at us! What a welcoming, lovely, charming home, with colors that reflect the sun, sand, and sea surrounding it. We found everything we could possibly need in the kitchen, the beds were comfortable, and the views were endless. The owner is wonderful to work with and even stopped by to say hello while she was staying at Folly and to see how we were and if we needed anything. We enjoyed our week immensely and Lamm's End provided a setting where we were able to entertain and renew old friendships as well as meet new friends. Wish we had known there were so many steps, as my husband struggled to get up and down three flights, and had to go down a flight inside the house to the bedrooms. But, we managed, and had a lovely time.

The perfect house for total relaxation! This was our first experience at Folly and certainly not our last. We found the island to be warm and easy going with fun restaurants and beautiful beaches. The kids surfed and fished while we read and day dreamed for hours on the beach. The house had everything anyone could ask for. It was well stocked and inviting with its multiple decks and happy colors. We wished we could have stayed all summer!

This house was simply breath-taking!!!! This has been by far the most enjoyable and relaxing family vacation we have ever experienced!!!! Even with 2 sickly babies we had a most marvelous time!!! I would have to say the ONLY negative of the house is the amount of stairs you have to walk up and down with kids, groceries and luggage. Can't wait to stay here again!!!!!

Our family spent Spring Break at Lamm's End and had a wonderful time. The accommodations were wonderful and let us feel right at home. We had everything we needed from beach towels to great views. If you are looking for an almost private beach, this is it (at least in March)! Beach access from the house is very easy, and we were the only ones on the beach for most days. We came home with a wonderful collection of sand dollars and sea shells. The proximity of Lamm's End to Charleston also made it easy to spend part of the day taking in the tourist attractions in Charleston. We highly recommend Husk for a nice dinner. For local Folly Beach flavor, we would highly recommend a boat trip to Morris Island by Island Hopper Charters (our boys ages 7 and 5 loved it!) and dinner at Bowen's Island Restaurant.

Lamm's End was the perfect place for our families to spend a week. My husband and I from Singapore, our daughter, son in law and grandson from Nashville, TN and our son, daughter in law and granddaughter from Pittsburgh, PA. The house was spotless upon arrival and we found everything to be just as advertised. Beth was wonderful to work with, promptly answering phone calls and questions. The beach is just a short walk away and the views from the front and back porch are amazing. We made the short drive to town a few times to enjoy lunch at Taco Boy, dinner at Crab Shack and a visit to the playground near Beth's cottage. The Morris Island Lighthouse is just down the road and is worth a visit. On our last evening we had a family photo taken right in Lamm's End back yard, a perfect and lasting memory of a vacation our family will long remember.
