We had mixed families, 12 total, ages 2-48. Including 5 teenagers!! Everyone agreed it was the best vacation ever. The house was perfect for all of us, very roomy and nicely set up, nicely equipped big kitchen, stocked with everything we needed. Everything went smoothly and everything worked in the house. Great location, close to ferry and beach. And an amazing beach it was. Almost private during the week, and week-ends just enough people to make it feel festive, volley ball, etc. And outstanding value. Quality accomodations for 12 people in a location like this, close enough to visit NYC on a day trip, (we took 2), it would be impossible to beat. The whole biking experience, (no personal cars period) brings everyone down a few notches, and is big fun, not to mention the exercise. Can't say enough. Our host was also fabulous, great communication before hand really helped the trip go smoothly. One recommendation, get groceries on Long Island, especially for a large group. Fire Island market selection and prices are not real conducive for lots of large meal planning and serving.
