We love the Whaler and all it has to offer. We visit twice a year and always enjoy our stays. The staff is fantastic and very friendly...it feels like home! We originally looked at this unit and decided on a studio instead. A list of all properties WRM manages was given to use upon inquiry of this unit.I would recommend the Whaler to anyone visiting the island however, I would NOT recommend Whaler Realty in Fairway Shopping Center!!!!!
Whalers Realty is not associated with the Whaler. When booking through VRBO, WRM manages several units and so we thought we would try them. NEVER again will I use them! The unit had a fantastic view because mostly all views at the Whaler are FANTASTIC, but unit 962 was dirty. The kitchen needed deep cleaning, the bathroom had mold in the tile area of the shower/tub. The ceiling fan was caked with dust and the bath towels smelled old.
I was willing to handle all of these things and clean myself to possibly use Whalers Realty again. BUT, when returning home I realized I left my new suit top in the room. I called WRM and was told the cleaning lady, and I use that term "cleaning lady" loosely, had my item. She was to return it to the Whaler and give it to the front desk. I had friends on the island after we departed that could pick the item up from the front desk.It has been two weeks and the item is still floating around the island on Aloha time with some cleaning lady that is probably wearing it as I type this! I have called WRM several times, emailed them several times and NOT ONE RETURN CALL OR EMAIL since my initial contact when they said, "YES, she has the item and will return it"! My friends are on the island for two more weeks and are now headed up to WRM to complain in person! As I said....we LOVE the Whaler but will never use WRM ever again! It's just the principle of the matter. Not to mistake Whalers Realty in Whaler Villiage, who is a delight to work with! Well Aloha and good luck! If you see a "cleaning lady" with a pretty blue, aqua, and black tankini top on....tell her how great she looks!

The property we stayed in was outstanding, studio #1012. The property had recently been redecorated and was beautiful and in good taste. Color schemes were soothing. The view was fantastic both the mountain and ocean. The amenities ie dishes, cooking utensils, Tv, etc. were sufficient and met our needs. The service provided by the Whaler staff was courteous and efficient. I would highly recommend this property.

Arrived at the whaler room 108 and we were all more than pleasantly surprised as to the amenity's and style of this home. Meet her neighbor's right away great folks. Awesome view and great access the the beach, only steps away from the Bb-q grill which is a blessing in itself. Have only been home a short time and are already making plan with the family to return at the same time. We are hoping this unit will be available for us to use.

Whaler 519 was a delight. Great view, service was excellent and friendly! Especially
impressed on how quickly the outdoor community grills were cleaned and how
clean they were for use for the guests. The Wednesday social free ice cream for
guests was also a surprise and winner with the kids. Great location to
shopping right off the beach and many extras in the room provided for beach
activity that saved us money and space in luggage to not have to pack. Great place for kids
and families.

This was a wonderful condo, 751. Worth the extra money for the ocean view. We stayed on the deck all the time. NO need go down with the crowds on the sand unless we wanted too. I slept, read my book without sand in my eyes! I loved how close to the restaurants and snorkling. We walked everywhere. Thank you for a terrific 10th Anniversary. We will be back. The Sullivans

We booked a last minute vacation to Maui this past April. We had a hard time deciding where to stay but settled on The Whaler for several reasons; Tom at Whalers Realty Management, who helped us book the vacation was so helpful and knowledgeable, it was close to Whaler's Village and its eateries so I wouldn't have to cook all the time, and it is walking distance to Black Rock for our two kids, aqged 11 and 9, to snorkel at.
We had a great time. The apartment was lovely, well appointed and clean.
I would reccomend The Whaler for travlllers looking for a convenient and upscale place to stay.

The Whaler 1212 was fantastic! It was just as depicted in the pictures and the view was even better (both from the living room and the bedroom). We saw whales from the lanai, even late in the season. The kitchen and bathrooms were modern and well-stocked. You can't ask for a better location, right on Kaanapali Beach, with the great shopping and dining at Whaler's Village. You could easily get by without a rental car because there is a bus to Lahaina (there are grocery and drug stores there) and the tours to the tours to Hana and Haleakala will pick you up. They serve coffee every morning poolside and hold meet and greets a couple of times per week, with Maitais and pupus. There is a business center off the lobby where you can print boarding passes and check on your departure flights (free). You get a "towel" pass at check-in, so you don't have to pack them. Maui is our favorite Hawaiian island and we hope to return again and again!!
