This cottage is located on Cromesett Neck steps away from the beach. There are outstanding views from the kitchen and living room. Within minutes you will be enjoying a swim or stroll on Marks Cove where the sand is soft and the water is warm and inviting. Whether you are interested in shellfishing, kayaking or bird watching, this is the place for you. The neighborhood is small, friendly and very tranquil. Nearby Audubon property extends to the beach where you can watch the osprey in their nest and walk on the beach.
The cottage is fully equipped for cooking, relaxing and playing. It is modern and bright with lots of light and air. The furniture is large and comfortable.

I just want to let you know we had a great time. And I enjoyed sitting out front with my coffee and watching the sunrises over the water it was awesome. I liked walking the beach looking for shells. And the cottage was so comfy; I enjoyed it all. I can't wait to go back.

Pleasantly Surprised!

We thoroughly enjoyed this property! The cottage is more spacious than it appears and very comfortable. It is also immaculate and offers a newly renovated kitchen (complete with fresh flowers from the garden!) that is ideal for cooking family meals.
Our children enjoyed the secluded beach very much, and we were happy to have such a great view from the house as well -- what a pleasant surprise!

We had a wonderful time and were very comfortable. We were able to get the sailboat to and from the beach on the dolly with no difficulty. We also sailed and paddled out in Orleans on Pleasant Bay one day. We took the ferry to Nantucket, visited the New Bedford Whaling Museum and Battleship Cove (my knees may never be the same after all those ladders). If you haven't been there, the Trustees of Reservations property on Horseneck Rd. over on Slocum's Neck is beautiful. We enjoyed many of the restaurants on your list including Margaret's, Turks and Gateway Tavern. My favorite was the Bayside over on Slocum's Neck after our walk down to the river. We tended to explore in the morning and sail/paddle when the breeze came up in the afternoon.Thanks again for sharing your home.

The cottage was just what we needed, neat and clean, well equiped and well located to take day trips to the Cape, Boston and New Bedford. Even Wood Hole is close enough to go out to dinner and walk around for the evening. Of course the Portuguese restaurants in New Bedford are my favorites.

I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay. Your cottage was the perfect size and very well equipt. I was especially pleased with the kitchen since I have to cook so many meals for my food sensitive child. We especially enjoyed the tidy beach which we visited every day.My son thought for sure you had planned on his arrival. He delighted in the toys and especially enjoyed the Celtic Tales.Thank you for a fabulous week!P.S. The dog had a great time too and we delighted in having him with us.
