We were able to secure this condo on a last minute trip to Mexico with great satisfaction. The place was felt new, neat, clean and well-maintained. The upstairs terrace was a perfect spot for our morning cocktail, I mean coffee...take your pick. It's central location was perfect for a day at the beach, strolling 5th Ave or venturing only a couple blocks in for some FANTASTIC authentic Mexican food. The suggestion book was on point! We loved breakfast at La Cueva del Chango; the seafood on the beach at La Terraya and Fusion and the whole fried fish just around the corner at Cockteleria Manigua. But our overall favorite meal was probably the tacos at Los Aguachiles.

My husband and I were able to book this condo with only a few hours notice after we encountered a bit of a lodging crisis. The owner responded quickly, even though it was a Sunday, and made all the arrangements for us to be able to move into his condo within just a few hours! The condo was immaculate - we probably could have eaten off the floor! - and very comfortable! The washer and dryer were a wonderful convenience, and the private rooftop deck was perfect for watching the sun rise over the ocean and enjoying drinks in the evening. The kitchen was well-equipped (sans oven), and there were several personal touches that made this condo really special. We were in easy walking distance to several great restaurants, and the beach is only 3 blocks away. The property manager was easy to reach if we needed anything, and VERY friendly (we sat by the pool for an hour one evening and had a lovely conversation!) In my opinion, Arena Blanca is located in the BEST part of Playa. We were close enough to the "main drag" to not need a car, but just outside the tourist center enough for it to feel quiet and romantic. It was easy to flag down a taxi on the corner for the hot days when we didn't feel like walking. We felt completely safe and secure in this gated complex, and met so many lovely people staying in one of the other 10 condos in the building. We can't wait to go back!

Just wanted to let you know that everything (and we mean everything) was so perfect during our time at Arena Blanca.
Manuel, Jorge and Gladys (and of course Angeles) were just great and welcoming the entire duration of our stay.
The apartment, the terrace, the pool were fabulous and we were never in need of anything. Coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening on the terrace were remarkable.
The area on 38th and 10th was just perfect as it was definitely more local and not so touristy as the south side of 5th and surrounding areas. I think we are still full from all of the food we ate over the course of 12 days. Just so many great restaurants that are within just a few blocks. We hope to stay with you sometime again in the near future, if only we could take an entire month................Or purchase property in Playa....someday.....It was the best anniversary we have ever had.

Just came back from spending a week at this condo which is very close to the beach and to all you need to make your stay comfortable. Excellent staff during the day to assist with anything that may come up and give tips on places to go. Evening security guard does a great job of welcoming you upon return from sightseeing....Our two girls 6 and 11 loved the loft for sleeping and the pool. This is my 5th time to Playa and love to be in a home setting and this was by far the most relaxing. One recomendation would be to add doors to the shower area or a curtain and a bike available in the complex to get around Playa would be nice. The unit is easy to keep clean as it is very functional...all is there umbrella, beach chair, cooler and toys for beach. Angeles was wonderful and will come back for sure to Arena Blanca.

My husband -to-be and I just returned from this wonderful Condo and we can't say enough about the experience of staying at Arena Blanca. We loved the photos in this listing but they do not do it justice.
Our trip started with some flight difficulties but Angeles was there waiting on us when we arrived 3 hours later than expected. All of the staff were very kind and helpful, even with our language barrier they made sure all of our needs were met and always offered a smile.
Fred and Sue have a great book in the condo that gives you so many good tips for restaurants, where to go for everything and general information.
The condo was spotless and grounds pristine. Even in the middle of a tropical storm, the pool and outdoor areas including stairwells were spotless before the grass dried. It was also very nice to have the security guard to meet you at the gate every night when we returned.
The storm prevented us from moving to Cozumel on Sunday and Angeles was so kind to offer to let us stay since they had a night open. I know the gals had to clean the unit before the next guests arrived but they were gracious and even let us see the larger unit next door as they were cleaning since we hope to bring friends next time. We were so delighted not to have to leave and find a room for one night at the last minute.
The condo is very well equipped with everything you could need. The terrace is incredible and views breathtaking.
For anyone lucky enough to stay at this great place - you must try the monkey cage (first place in the book for breakfast) its amazing - for all meals and just down the street on the right. We tried several recommended restaurants from the listing and all were great. The little store on the corner toward the beach kept us in all we needed to get through the week.
We love Playa and love this condo and can't wait to find our next time to visit. Its in the perfect place to enjoy everything but still have peace and quiet and it is very safe. We came in late at night and walked everywhere with out ever feeling uncomfortable.

Arena Blanca is a lovely condo and was very nicely out-fitted. We especially enjoyed the rooftop deck as a place to enjoy our morning coffee, afternoon siesta, and cocktail hour. The condo is at the end of busy "5th Avenue" so it's convenient to the restaurants and activities without being crazy busy. I didn't think a car was necessary - very walker-friendly place. If you're looking for a low stress getaway, this is a great choice!
