Beautiful views, spacious and relaxing home. Loved the front porch and easy access to the river. The cabin is great for retreats or family/friend getaways.

The setting was serene. We could look at the mountains and the river from rocking chairs on the porch, and the river is only a minute's walk from the house. We made good use of the hot tub, though it was too cloudy to see the stars. We had a wonderful time and were very comfortable. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic, cozy time celebrating our anniversary at the farm house. The land and the river were beautiful with a light dusting of snow...our dog loved exploring the fields. We enjoyed using the kitchen to make yummy dinners and we loved watching the sunset from the hot tub -- still awesome even in the winter...maybe even moreso! And hanging out in one of the two living rooms to play games and watch a movie was the perfect end to both days.

Nina was friendly and accommodating with anything we needed. The house was in perfect condition and perfectly clean. We hope to return as soon as possible and can't recommend the house enough!

We love this house! It was even better than expected! It was also extremely welcoming and cozy, we never wanted to leave and cannot wait to go back! It's the perfect place to forget all your troubles and lay back and relax. Nina was always available for us if we had any troubles, though we had none. I would definitely reccommend the farm house to friends..but make them take us with them!! We love that there's a Walmart and Food Lion so close, but we really love the small town! Our favorite restaurant was Artisan's Grill; we sat upstairs next to a window everytime and watched the street lights change. (They have the best dessert choices!) The antique shops and souvenir shops in Luray are also so much fun for afternoon shopping. We are already counting down the days until we get to go back and relax in our cozy home-away-from-home again!

we've been to the farmhouse in most every season and it is truly an amazing property any time of year. the river, the woods, the cave, the fields... we have explored these repeatedly and always discover new things.. the house with its open windows and rocking chair lined screened in porch provides a comfortable place to just sit back and do nothing for awhile... and the kitchen is large and adequately equipped for most any size meal.. we spend a lot of time in there..

we love this property and every time we come to the farmhouse we stay an extra night or two then we planned.. its really become our country escape. i had searched for the perfect mountain rental for a number of years and stopped once we first stayed at cedar point farm.

I loved the views from the front porch and the serene setting was truly unreal. Just the escape we needed from the city. The downside was that the place really needed a good cleaning--spiderwebs, and just built up dust in most rooms and the sinks, tubs had grime around the faucets made me want to clean up the place myself.

I would not return, but I truly did enjoy the wonderful views and hospitality of the owner for sharing the wonderful old farm house and delicious chocolate chip coconut cookies.

What a wonderfully romantic midwinter getaway! The house was just as the photos depict in the online brochure. We were amazed at the spaciousness of each room being more welcoming than the next. I loved the fireplace room the most, it seemed, but I was quite partial to the huge eat-in kitchen as well. There was ample counter space, a microwave oven, built in automatic dishwasher, coffeemaker and a nice refigerater. The house was spotlessly clean. There are two bathrooms. One is a full bathroom and the other is a powder room off the kitchen. I knew once the sun came up the next morning we would have lots of bright sunbeams lighting the kitchen. I kept telling my husband, "I love this house." and "I don't want to leave." We drove into Luray the first night to pick up supplies at WalMart and we had a fun time. While in town we ate at Rancho Viego Mexican Restaurant & Cantina. The Mexican food was declicious. After we finished up in town that night we went back to the farmhouse, unpacked and enjoyed some hot tub spa time. The next day we made breakefast then wandered down to the river which was quite a site and will be more welcoming to fishing and swimming in warmer weather. I would without hesitation reommend this precious home to a friend or relative. All the heating appliances worked quite well We also ate at a restaurant in town the next day, Artisans Grill, that was delicious. We enjoyed a little antiquing in nearby shops within the town of Luray. The owner of the Cedar Point Farmhouse was/is amazing. She called us a couple of times and we certainly appreciated knowing she was nearby. Oh yes! And the owner left us a plate of birthday cookie sand a card! I wanted to leave the place better than how I found it which was a dilemma but I just went over all the already clean surfaces -- the way a woman does a house that she loves. I cant wait to take family and friends to Cedar Point Farm in the future. We plan to go back as often as possible. I feel like we have found our home away from home. The minute I walked inside the house, I could feel the place had many happy times in its memory. I'm glad we are part of the houses' memory. We plan many more trips to Cedar Point Farm. This place is wonderful for couples as well as families with children. Thank you so much, Cedar Point Farm, for making our stay so memorable.

Cedar Point Farmhouse is like a second home to us. We first visited more than 10 years ago (when I was expecting our first child). Since then, we have visited countless times. Our three kids count the days to our next visit, and Cedar Point never disappoints. We have stayed at the farmhouse in every season. Summer has the best fishing and swimming, but the other seasons have their own unique charms. The fall colors are a glorious palate to enjoy from the screened porch; winter is perfect for reading by the fire and hikes around the property; and spring brings new blooms and a rushing river current to enjoy.

The farmhouse is so comfortable and cozy at any time of year – during the summer, the ceiling fans and a/c provide comfortable cooling, and during the winter months the area heaters and convenient gas fireplace heat the house quite nicely. The kitchen is well equipped for anything you might like to cook, and the backyard grill is always handy as well.

What our family enjoys the most is the homey, very spacious floorplan – kids can be watching a movie in one living room while others are enjoying the fireplace or a good book in the other living room. Also, the screened porch is a favorite spot for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine – the view of the river and mountains is unrivaled. The hot tub is lovely too!

We love not only the comfort of the farmhouse, but also the unique 100 acre property – there is no other Shenandoah rental like this, especially at the offered rental rates.

I also want to thank Nina for being such an excellent hostess – she always leaves delicious cookies for the guests and makes sure that the house is immaculate. Her attention to detail and focus on ensuring that her guests have an outstanding visit is one of the main reasons we return to Cedar Point again and again (4 times in 2011!).
