Wonderful Relaxing Vacation

Wayne and Betty Germantown, Tennessee
Review Submitted: September 13, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
We enjoyed our stay so much at this beautiful place nestled in the mountains. We would have our coffee on the wrap around deck and view the beautiful mountains each morning. As a bonus it even had a swing for you to enjoy on the porch. Tony and Barbara were so helpful with the information on the area and were such nice friendly people. The place was clean and provided everything that you needed during your stay. We hope to return next year. Thanks again.

We really enjoyed ourselves in this Chalet. The owners are great folks who made it very easy to rent from them and provided a clean, comfortable Chalet with great location and awesome view (the deck is incredible). We spent an amazing day at Chimney Rock and another day out on the lake. Can you say R.E.L.A.X.? Definitely recommend it.

Super place! everything the website says it is. Clean and well maintained. Backs to hiking trail, super place to walk dogs and yourself. The deck is awsome place to cook out & drink coffee in the morning. View is fantastic. Black Mountain is a cool town to visit and check the shops. Chimney Rock and Lake Lure are close and La Stradas Italian restuarant is super - fantastic pizza and cool bar area - ask for Jacob. Blue Ridge Parkway is beautiful even in the winter and the Biltmore is only 1/2 hour away - a must see. would difinately recommend to a friend.

Relaxing and peaceful getaway

Review Submitted: July 22, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
Greg and I stayed in this chalet for 3 nights. It was very peaceful and secluded. The chalet was warm and inviting. We visited Lake Lure and Chimney Rock during our stay. We also visited the shops in Chimney Rock. The tenants were very nice too. We stayed in more than we went out. We enjoyed reading and relaxing on the huge wrap around porch, which included a swing. All amenities were included. All you need to bring is your food and clothing. We had a wonderful time and plan to go back maybe in the fall.

Relaxing and Enjoyable

MLG Snow Hill, NC
Review Submitted: June 22, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
Five of us, including our 10 month old grandson thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. It was a great get away, tuked off the main road, but close to things like Lake Lure and Chimney Rock with its shopping and resturants. Even Asheville made a nice day trip with the Biltmore, farmers market and downtown area.
The home itself was comfortable and well kept, the views beautiful. We were able to enjoy the humming birds and squirrels as they visited the feeders on the deck each day. Even though there were alot of stairs our grandson was kept off them by the gates the owners have installed, keeping him safe.
We are trying to make plans to come again in the fall to enjoy another relaxing and enjoyable time. If you beat us to it I don't think you will be disappointed.

Great vacation getaway

This is a wonderful property. Very private, clean, nicely decorated and well-maintained. The views were extraordinary. There are lots of great attractions, I would reccommend more that a weekend trip if possible, there is so much to see and do. Chimeny Rock is recommended and a lot of fun, Lake Lure was beautiful, although we just drove by. There were great little shops we enjoyed too. It was nice to cook in, but there are lots of restaurants available for those that like to eat out.I would reccomend this for a family or for a special romantic weekend. The owners were exceptionally nice and considerate. We will stay again in the future.
