Home Away From Home

Riverloon Brownville, NY
Review Submitted: October 5, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
We were three couples of active grandparents looking for and finding
an ideal location for our vacation. The house offered every amenitie
that you would find in your home (except playing cards which are there now). The house and property were in excellent condition. The location was perfect for traveling to Newport, Providence and a day trip to Block Island. Annette was there to greet us when we arrived and offered any help we might need. We also enjoyed just relaxing at the property and doing a little claming. We would not hesitate to rent this property again.
Thank you to Annette for seeing to every last detail.

My family and I came for vacations in USA to visit my
husband who is working at Brown University and we
really enjoyed our stay at May House in Wickford. The
house is so beautiful, so comfortable with an amazing
view on the sea. Annette is a really kind hostess. We
recommend to everybody this rental house !

A beautiful house in which to stay. Close to everything
,yet off the beaten path. Rates are very reasonable.
Annette, the hostess, was most gracious and accommodating. Hope to return in the future.

We were a party of two married retired couples from Kansas and Delaware vacationing in Rhose Island for the first time. We rented the May House from Oct. 4-7, 2008. Annette greeted us upon our arrival and gave us a well-informed tour. Undoubtedly, the May House was above and beyond what we dared to expect. It is a spacious, well-furnished, waterfront property with up-to-date, home-size appliances. Located in the charming city of Wickford and close enough for day trips to Newport, Block Island, Mystic, CT, casinos, and more. You need only bring your suitcases and food. As the property manager, Annette's graciousness only enhanced our stay more. If we're ever in the area again, we won't look further than the May House for our lodging.

If you are looking for a lovely, secluded place to go, this is it!
I almost felt I was on a retreat!
Friends and I can't wait to go back!
One of the nicest places we have spent a week at.........
If I could live there everyday, I would die happy!

Perfect Vacation Spot

Jasmina Raleigh, NC
Review Submitted: September 9, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
This house, with the beautiful rolling lawn, filled with trees, right on the water, was one of the best of our 25 year history of vacation homes. It was so pleasant, so quiet, so relaxing, that we didn't want to leave to explore the area. Wickford Village is walking distance away, and is picturesque and charming. The water is calm and warm, perfect for kids and adults with some physical constraints (like knee injuries, arthritis, etc, which some of our group have). The landscaping is natural, and the landlady is lovely. An idyllic setting, perfect for a quiet getaway.

Our first glimpses of the May House were very impressive: first the large dining room table, then the vast expanse of lawn leading down to the water. A thoroughly enjoyable place for our family reunion.

My daughter's wedding was on the 8th of June this year(08). Since we are from Florida and have a large family, we rented the May House for two + Weeks. All members of our family were very comfortable and found the house wonderful and the grounds were all we could wish for. The whole family (old and new) want to meet at the May house for future family reunions.
Annette was a delight in so many ways.

We were thrilled to revisit May Cottage in May 2008. We had stayed there 3 years ago when our daughter graduated from Brown and had wanted to return, even though it's a lot of space for just 2 people. We had a lovely time in Wickford and in the neighboring areas. We also enjoyed the close proximity to Providence and all the amazing restaurants. We loved just staying in, reading, or taking long walks and visiting lovely shops. It made it easy to fill the time. Also, great markets. And Annette is a lovely hostess.
