Fabulous Week

We have just returned from spending a week with our friends in this property. Set up was perfect, parents had master suite each, while our children two boys age 17 and two girls age 19 and 20 had the twin rooms. When we weren't out visiting all the nearby attractions we loved relaxing on the upstairs balcony enjoying the breeze. House was ideally situated for all of the Keys attractions. We also hired a boat for 3 days and and tied it up at the dock. Spending the days snorkelling and visiting the various restaurants that can be reached by boat. Pool was lovely, and we had our very own Godzilla the Iguana who kept us company. The surround sound system for the TV made such a difference as the lounge is very large and TV would not normally be heard so well. We had a problem with one of the ACs but having notified the management repairman arrived within the hour.
We had a ball and only wish we were still there!

Thanskgiving 2012

We were a group of 8 for the week of Thanksgiving (in 2012) and had a wonderful time at this house. We were two families (one coming from NY and one coming from CA) and the four adults and four kids fit very comfortably. Divina in the office was WONDERFUL to work with and quickly/thoroughly answered my many emailed questions that I sent over the months leading up to our week in the house. A couple of issues arose while we were there and were quickly/mostly dealt with by Rick, the property's handyman. My husband/daughter played tennis at the Beach Club (raquets provided there) and enjoyed that, though they reported to beachfront area was quite small. The kids all enjoyed the pool at the house, though it was quite cold (I hadn't known that there was a pool heater available at an additional cost, and would have jumped on it if I had realized it was available - the pool is mostly in the shade by lunch time). The big decks were lovely, both in being able to open the doors to the outside for the two master bedrooms, and the top deck off the living/dining rooms. This house is very large, the bedrooms are roomy as are the bathrooms, and it is accurate as far as the online description goes. We very much enjoyed our week at 27 Avenue F!

GREAT TIME!!!

We just returned from our trip to Marathon and had a FANTASTIC time! The house was perfect. We had three adult couples and a single and everyone was very comfortable in their own spacious rooms with adjoining baths.
The living area was great and the porch and scenery was outstanding.
At one point we had a question and after calling the office, Rick, the grounds keeper was there instantly to resolve it.
I would definitely recommend this to multi families or couples.

5th Time coming back! That says it all!!!

I first booked 27 Avenue F during mini season 2007 because of the size and the fact we were traveling with 2 families. Upon arrival the house was even more than we expected. the 3rd floor is all L/R and Dining areas with the 4 B/R's on the 2nd floor. This was great when the adults wanted to stay up as all the kids could sleep below. The bedrooms are oversized and accommodated us well with our large party. The overall property is extremely spacious and the amenities are great! The boat dock fit both our 25' boats with room to fish everywhere. The communication between Alan and property management was second to none right from the booking. And CoCoPlum is close to everything. Including our favorite place...the Island Tiki Bar.
Our group was so "displeased" (wait for the sarcasm) with the property that we also booked, and stayed, for mini season in July 2009 and July 2010. I would have booked it for Mini Season in 2011 but I went with a request to stay in Islamorada. 2012 I tried again but it had already been booked. Well...we will be back this for the 2013 Mini Season as I am booking it again!
I know these are all opinions...but if you are traveling with a large family, want the convenience of being close to everything, yet in a secluded luxurious home with all the amenities then this place is for you.

Great Home!!!

We rented this home right after school ended and invited our parents to join us in this beautiful 4 bedroom home and it accommodated all of us perfectly. The home was very Clean and in great conditions. We have stayed in the keys & other homes are so old and not well groomed But this House was immaculate. Allen the owner was really nice and responded quick to all of our questions.
Kids would play in the Pool while us the adults drank a bottle of wine watching the Sunset. It was breath taking! So nice to be able to clean our catch of the day right behind our home and also being able to Grill anytime we wanted. I can't forget the mornings we would spend on the Hammocks as well. If your looking for a little peace of Paradise this is it for sure!!! We can't wait to stay here again :)

Need Tender Loving Care

This rental is very roomy and lots to enjoy. Pool, fishing, easy access to many restaurants and a short walk to a beach that is also affiliated with property or a short drive to a public beach. But there are many things that are greatly in need of attention and since we were told that the week previous to our stay was for maintinence we were greatly disappointed. Our bed sheets were worn so thin there were HOLES in them, all the ceiling fans were just plain filthy, the outdoor stairwells and many other areas were in immediate need of a power washing and all the seating needs re upolstering or replacement cushions on the deck furniture.
There also were strange electrical problems such as fans or lights turning on or off during the night, a little spooky to the friends of our who experienced this in their bedrooms.
We have rented numerousr homes, even out of the country and this one ranks at the bottom of the list and we do have friends who plan to visit the Keys and we will not suggest that this be their destination.

Owner's Response: I was quite surprised when I saw this one. For the record we have BRAND new sheets in the office and it they would have mentioned any small holes in a sheet we would have just replaced the sheets on the spot. Very easy and inexpensive fix for us. They forgot to mention that we just put in a new couch and club chair on the patio of the bedroom floor just 8 weeks ago. We will look at the cusions on the patio off the family room floor and replace if needed. They also forgot to mention that a brand new refrigerator freezer was installed the week prior to their arrival. When they mentioned issues with the electric, they forgot to mention that we called (the same day) a professional electrician in to address any questions or repairs that were needed in the home. It turns out the problems they mentioned had to do with "three way" electrical switches. Which can be a little confusing at times but when the electrician explained to them the way “three way switches” operate, they seem to understand but apparently not. Basically from the bedroom “three way switches” you can turn off the balcony light but if someone else is on the balcony they could turn the light back on with the other “three way” switch on the balcony. Nothing strange here, just a convenience that we intentionally set up so you can turn on and off the balcony lights from inside the bedrooms or from the balcony. We take these comments very seriously and we are very proud of our home. All of the items they mention in this review are easily corrected with my staff or with professionals if needed. I do not believe that we deserved a 3 of 5 on this review. Please see other reviews that portray the house and the service we provide accurately.

Awesome!!

We stayed here during my 13 yo daughter's Spring Break... 2 couples, mother-in-law, 2 friends of my daughter, and my 4 yo son. The place is great and is just like the pictures show. Check-in was simple and quick, everyone was comfortable, and everyone had privacy when needed. The place is very big, I referred to it as "the compound".
Boating was a quick 10 minute ride to the cut,.."Coffins Patch" was right out in front for the kids to snorkle, and Sombrero Light House (highly recommended) was also a quick ride.
The kitchen was great and with an extra fridge and a bait freezer we wanted for nothing. After 3 days we were still discovering things about the house.
Stay here if you can...we will certainly stay again.
Advice--Bring a pop-up canopy for the pool area--its very sunny and the shade was appreciated.
The other couple we stayed with already booked again for the spring.

WE HAVE A GROUP OF FRIENDS THAT VACATION EVERY YEAR AT THIS HOUSE. TOTALLY OURS!! NO SHARING THE POOL OR THE DOCK OR THE HAMMOCKS! LAZY DAYS AND GREAT BBQS. BEAUTIFUL SUNSETS ON THE BAY AND BALMY BREEZES. SUNRISES WITH THE DOLPHINS SWIMMING IN THE BAY. WE LOOK FORWARD TO THIS PLACE EVERY YEAR.

A LITTLE BIT OF HEAVEN

WE HAVE A GROUP OF FRIENDS THAT STAY AT THIS HOUSE EVERY YEAR. THE PLACE IS AWESOME. WE ALL HAVE OUR OWN BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS AND WE DON'T HAVE TO SHARE THE POOL OR THE FISHING DOCK WITH ANYONE. BEAUTIFUL SUNSETS ON THE BALCONY WHICH IS ON THE BAY SIDE AND SOMETIMES IN THE MORNING YOU CAN SEE THE DOLPHINS SWIMMING.

Beautiful large house with wonderful amenities. Close to good restaurants and attractions. 1 hr day trip to Key West. 30 min drive to Islamorada. Great location in nice walkable neighborhood at end of road. Awesome sunsets over bay behind home. Bay is kayak accessible. Adults enjoyed relaxing by the pool and on the verandas, while kids had a blast fishing from the dock and swimming. Watch the fishing boats go out in the morning and return in the afternoon. Beach is a 5 min walk away. Renee, the contact at the office was super. Would definitely recommend to others. Hope to be back next year.
