House, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths, (Sleeps 11-12)

Not a typical rental. This A-frame style home has been in our family since it was built over 40 years ago. The open floor plan on the first floor brings family and friends together. The home is minutes from Mt. Snow and Carinthia. The house is 1/2 a mile from Carinthia lift at MT SNOW and about 1 mile from the main mountain. It is on a quiet and safe dirt road, surrounded by woods with access to trails for walking, hiking, biking X Country and snow mobiling. The parking area will accommodate many cars and trailers.

On the lower level is a very large mud room area (coats and boots do not pile up around the house and wet clothes can be hung to dry). There is a master bedroom with king-size bed and bath on this level, as well as a shop and laundry area.

On the first floor, the open floor plan includes the kitchen, dining area and living room. There is a game closet for good, old fashioned family fun, and plenty of books, but no TV, Cable or high speed internet. Off the living room is a large deck which is perfect for sunny lunches and afternoon cocktails, weather permitting. Windows in the Living Room look uphill into the woods. The first floor has the 'Honeymoon Suite' with a queen sized bed and a bath. There is also a second bathroom with a tub on the first floor.

The second floor has two bedrooms. One with three built in twin beds and the other with two built in twin beds and a full-size bed. Both rooms have ample closets and drawers under the beds for storage.

About The Owner

This A frame house was built by our parents and we all learned to ski at Mt. Snow in the 1950s and love going up all year long as there are hiking and biking trails out the door and the main lodge at Mt Snow is a mile away, but the Carinthia Lodge is only 1/2 mile.

Why The Owner chose West Dover

The house is great for cooking and entertaining. It is fully furnished and has a full shop and large parking lot and everything one needs for a great get away.

A true getaway!

We just stayed at this relaxing and beautiful A frame MLK weekend 2011. No TV was an advantage because we all played games and relaxed with great company. This home is perfect for anyone. Our age group was 14-65 and nobody had a complaint. We all went skiing during the day and then cooked a great meal where we all gathered in the living and dining room to eat. Afterward we would have game night or just read a book. There is much to do around the area such as hiking and seeing a movie. Also great places to eat. This home is definitely suitable for those who just want to relax and get a way.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Wonderful Homey Place!

My husband and I have been here numerous times but have never wanted to write a review because we don't want the secret out - THIS IS A FABULOUS PLACE TO VISIT. We like to come in the summer for golf, fishing and just some quite time away from the hussle and bustle of life. The pictures show a lot of snow so the skiing must be great. Don't break a leg!
