Located on a ten acre private setting, this cozy cottage with rustic Maine charm, is one-half mile by car, bicycle or walking trail to Reid State Park. Relax and enjoy the ocean views from a second floor deck while enjoying that afternoon glass of wine. Seafood dinners are available just minutes away in Five Islands. Try sea kayaking, walking along or fishing from the cottage's rocky shoreline. From a bench on your rocky ledge, watch lobster men pull up their lobster traps or watch sailboats sail by. Nearby, enjoy all that Reid State Park has to offer including its fabulous beaches and panoramic views. With an orientation towards the east, 'Cottage by the Sea ' sits on a beautiful piece of Maine's beautiful coast. The rental is pet friendly.

About Anthony Mirizzi

I am a retired elementary school principal from CT. My wife, also an elementary school principal, dreamed of our Maine home by the sea as our retirement home. Sadly, she passed away in 2011 from complications of the non Hodgkins cancer she was diagnosed with in 2003. I am an Eagle scout and believe in the golden rule. These hallmarks have steered me through life. I still have a home in CT which I plan to sell. My son and his wife and two children live in CT. I own a sportscar.

When you see this property, its privacy and location on the water, you will understand why we fell in love with it. It faces east and it's expansive water views are a daily joy.. Each day is wondrous! The house, which sits on ten acres, also came with a quaint guest cottage, that we turned into a rental, 'Cottage by the Sea.' The land adjoining the cottage is undeveloped forest. We are a half mile from Reid State Park and close to the village of Five Islands. We loved that Georgetown is a classic, New England seacoast town that is yet to be spoiled by development or discovered. Georgetown people are truly friendly. The area is a great place to relax and get away from it all.

"Thanks for a wonderful week in your very special cozy cottage! We saw a beautiful mother and tiny baby deer in the driveway...such a special Maine woods site. I'll send you some great sunrise pics I took when Mickey woke me up. Mickey loved her first vacation in Maine in your cottage. Your lunch tip to go to Five Islands for fish and chips was such a good idea. There fish and chips are the best! So fresh and tasty. We went back to Five Islands for a "last night" dinner - such a good idea. The lobsters and steamers were so good. We look forward to coming back to your special hospitality and cozy cottage. Your kindness makes a visit so special...little things like ordering lobsters from your lobsterman down the road...having a BIG lobster pot handy in the closet...beach passes. Visiting you and your cottage...is really like visiting family!

A Beautiful Way To End The Summer

Dear Tony,
What a beautiful way to end the summer! We had a wonderful time visiting Reid State Park, taking walks in the woods, going to the Maritime Museum in Bath (and taking a cruise to see the lighthouses) and spending time in your cozy Cottage by the Sea!
At first we were a little worried that our small children would get into trouble but everything went great and your kindness in sharing beach chairs, shovel, etc was much appreciated.
Thanks again for being such a great host and we hope to see you again another summer.

Our vacation at "Cottage by the Sea" was very memorable! It is a great place to get away from it all! The view from the bench near the ocean is fantastic as you watch the waves crashing into the rocks or just watching the lobstermen gather their lobster traps. If you are an early riser, you can watch the sun rise from the second floor deck of the cottage. It is worth waking up to see the sun rise. The cottage has alot of charm & amenities to make your stay comfortable as if you were at home. We saw deer everyday on the property and also some wild turkeys. Reid State Park is a great place to take walks, ride the waves, or have a picnic. It is a great place to take your dog as there are alot of nature walks to take. I would recommend this cottage to anyone who just wants to get away from it all and just enjoy nature!

As always the Cottage by the Sea exceeded our expectations. You can't beat a nice relaxing weekend with ocean views in the beautiful town of Georgetown, Maine. The cottage is amazing. We were able to wake up to the ocean breeze with a nice cup of coffee and watch the sun rise. This cottage allows you to shut down the laptop and cell phone and appreciate and enjoy a relaxing vacation with family and friends. Passes to Reid State Park are a must to explore and take advantage of. And it wouldn't be a trip to Georgetown without getting ice cream at Five Islands. Of all of the places I have stayed in Maine, this is my favorite

A Memorable Honeymoon

The Cottage by the Sea was beautiful and perfect for a serene getaway. We stayed there 5 years ago this May for our honeymoon. We spent our time relaxing, fishing, playing board games, mountain biking and hiking in Reid State Park, and soaking about the breathtaking views of the sea. The cottage was cozy and had all the necessary amenities. If you love the outdoors then this is the location that will suit your needs. Thank you for a memorable honeymoon that I still daydream about 5 years later!

Thank you for your hospitality - the cottage was cozy and inspiring for us. Everyone had a great time - Reid state Park, the Railway Village and Botanical Gardens in boothbay, and Pemaquid Point Lighthouse; of course one cannot forget Five Islands.
The area in general is simply gorgeous and our view provided much needed respite and inspiration (and meditation). We hope to be back again in future years...Many thanks

This was a wonderful week on the coast for my family. Your cottage is very cozy and inviting. Plenty of room for all. We loved watching the hummingbirds as we ate breakfast! The bench was a great spot to watch ships and relax! Glad I found your place on the internet.
The pass to the state parks was a nice "extra."
Saved us quite a bit as we went every day to Reid! Thanks again for your hospitality!

Enjoyed our week in your "Cottage by the Sea."
Great spot. Close to Reid State Park & great ocean view. the park pass was a big plus.
searched high and low for a deck of cards to play solitaire when I couldn't sleep last night...would have been nice to have...plenty of games and books however.

We enjoyed a really wonderful vacation in your unique, charming cottage! Working on our computers or eating at your table...the ocean view...visits from the hummingbirds...was a very relaxing experience!
Reading...eating...taking sunrise photos from the roof deck...what a special place! No bugs! A great breeze!
Thanks for introducing us to your lobsterman and his wife...their lobsters were great!!
We'll be sending you some special photos from Reid State Park...the ocean there is so amazing...a very special beach..your pass is a great idea to make visiting easy to do!
