Know what your getting into

First off I would say it is a bit of false advertisement. Although the building itself is oceanfront, the apartment itself is not, it is on the side of the building and only a very small view from the window.
I have to agree with him that this was a very clean apartment however you better be prepared to bring cleaning supplies and be a maid service and leave it in the pristine almost OCD way you came into it. Got charged for it not being perfectly clean (which trust me it was clean ) but due to not having any cleaning supplies or broom and only an old vacuum I did what I could with what I had. I bought a container of disinfecting wipes and wiped down the whole apartment even windows.
I wouldn't say you will have everything you need in this rental (I've stayed in many others to compare). It's pretty much a hotel room with a fridge, microwave, a couple dishes, and one pan. The grill is a small charcoal that you use on the ground for like tailgating or camping.
I was also charged because I opened all windows planning to turn off the air conditioner when I left, however I forgot to turn it off (which I can understand a small charge). But in his letter he assumed I had windows open and air on all week which is completely untrue considering it reached 100 degrees and he also said there was a sign on the air conditioner warning of a charge which there was not.
This was an ok rental but I've stayed in better that have more to offer and you don't have to worry about being charged for silly little things.
Owner's Response: As owners, we can respond but cannot prevent false statements. Our best advice, read all reviews prior to making a decision. As indicated, this unit is booked solid, has repeat business and our webpage clearly indicates Sandy Shores is beach front and this end unit has ocean views. You will not find deck pictures taken from inside the unit. Typically, a unit with a deck facing the sand comes with a higher cost.
The signed agreement with our guests indicates they, “leave the location as it was found, i.e. clean (floors, counters, furniture, dishes, fixtures etc.)”. We provide all linens and do not require guests do laundry. We realize that guests are on vacation and will not leave the unit spotless. However, if guests make no effort we don’t have enough time to make it spotless for new guests arriving in a few hours. We sent these guests the following comments indicated below: “After your departure, the morning of your check-out we found the air conditioner set at 60 degrees and running, the bedroom door was open, windows were open throughout the unit and the heat was set at 60 degrees. We are also aware that during this extremely hot week the air conditioner was on and windows remained open. The sign on the air conditioner clearly indicates that a $50.00 weekly charge will be assessed if guests do not close the windows while the air conditioner is in use and that the air conditioner needs to be turned off when guests leave the unit. Additionally, the floors, counters, bathroom, microwave, refrigerator, clothes dryer and range all needed to be cleaned. Our signed contract indicates that guests are responsible for leaving the location as it was found, i.e. clean floors, counters, furniture, dishes, fixtures etc. The enclosed return of your security deposit has been reduced by $80.00 to cover costs that were above and beyond our agreement.”
Air conditioning is provided for the comfort of our guests. Having the heat on, windows open and air conditioner set to 60 degrees is not acceptable. The Miele vacuum left for our guests is what we use to provide, as this guest has stated, “pristine almost OCD” cleaning of this unit. There is a full set of Revere pans and a very large stainless steel pot for cooking clams and lobsters and we post our phone number in case guests need something we can provide. In closing, please keep us in mind for your stay in OOB. We provide clean accommodations in an ocean front condo just 60 steps to the sand.
