Pine and Birch Ranch and Retreat is a 50 acre estate comprised of fields of green grass, forests of virgin white pine and birch, as well as our own private spring-fed ten acre lake nestled away in the scenic rural countryside of western Quebec in the Heart of the Gatineau Hills.
The Ranch is home to a small herd of mostly Arabian horses. Our guest accommodations include the Ranch House, Guest House, Bunk House, Cottage, and Cabin. Each of the units has been recently renovated with natural wood flooring and each is fully furnished and equipped. The Ranch House offers spacious living quarters and includes a ten foot long dining table, cathedral ceiling with 18 foot high stone fireplace, and huge west facing deck.

Pine & Birch is owned and/or managed by brothers Todd and John Plaskacz. Todd is a corporate lawyer and John is the owner/broker of the local Remax franchise. This unique property was purchaseed by our parents in 1971 and passed on to us in 1999. It doubles as our country get away and represents our lifelong passion to develop a unique family reunion destination.
Over the years we have continued to make improvements to the facility and are always interested in getting feedback from our customers as to how to im prove our product and service.
The Ranch & Retreat is unique in that it offers various units that can accommodate different sized groups or families within the same group. Our total sleeping capacity is 34 people when doubling in the double and Queen beds. Our animals are particularly friendly and our guests find it a treat to interact with the horses,barn cats and chickens. We provide water craft on our lake so guests can enjoy a peaceful paddle in one of our canoes or try their hand at rowing around the lake. Our small sandy beach is ideal for small kids and teenagers alike and the camp fire pit is a favorite spot in the evenings.

A beautiful place to spend our retreat!
The horses are a really nice touch! We had a lot of fun during our breaks visiting with them, and playing around on the grounds.
Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a little getaway, for personal or professional purposes!
