Welcome to your home. Let's say you have just returned from a day's sightseeing in Barcelona, or the beach in Gava, or picking up someone at the airport. You're a little tired.
Your house welcomes you. It's a first floor and despite being 100 years is perfectly restored. He is happy, full of sunshine: The living room and balcony overlooking the town park and the rising sun, the kitchen loggia faces the setting sun. And all day around, the 80 m2 large private terrace (in the upper floor) invites you to enjoy the sun, or dine in the night, making a barbecue, or just relaxing with the view of our plants and surrounding fields.
If you prefer to enjoy the inside, you can relax on the comfortable sofas (5 people) in the living room, watching TV or satellite channels. You can also listen to music on the CD player, or simply read a good book in our reading corner: There are hundreds of books in the library in several languages, choose yours (Bookcrossing accepted!).
Why not preparing a meal, while children play in the park? In the kitchen you will find everything you need: Tableware, oven, induction stove, blender, coffee, condiments such as salt and sugar. In the same kitchen is the dining room for eight, to spare you travelling with the dishes.
After that, a good shower or bath (hot water without limit), it's up to you to decide. Plenty of towels provided.
And finally, after a drink watching the night sky on the roof terrace, or a coffee in the bar downstairs, it's time to go to bed. You will find them prepared, with clean sheets, and there are 3 bedrooms for a total of 5 people.
We want you to be comfortable, so for the winter there is central heating throughout the house (no need to worry about anything, is automatic), and ceiling fans in all rooms for the summer. Air conditioning.
Well, you have visited Barcelona, what else can you do?
A lot. Because not only you can go to Barcelona comfortably by train or by car free highways, you can also go to nearby tourist spots like beaches of Gava and Castelldefels (14 km, 17 minutes), pick someone up at the airport in Barcelona (12 km, 16 minutes), Barcelona city ( 15 Km), or visit Sitges.
But why going out of Colònia Güell every day? It is a charming town, small but all the buildings are in the same style. So quiet that children are able to play in the streets, like years ago. You can visit the many unique Modern Style buildings such as the Church (World Heritage Site) and the museum, eat at any of the 3 restaurants, drink in one of the two bars or buy at the bakery or the other two stores. You can walk your pets (or you alone, if you do not have one) on the paths and forests surrounding the village. Why not buying fresh products in the peasant market each Saturday morning? So you can eat very fresh fruit and vegetables, and support the local agriculture.
