We spent a week at Colosseo's gardens luxury one bedroom suite and had a great stay. The apartment is strategically located, within walking distance from Santa Maria Maggiore, 3 minutes walking from Merulana street where you can take any bus to Termini Station (5 minutes) and where you can find anything you need to eat (minimarkets and stores, pizzeria, gelateria etc.). Although we were centrally located, traffic did not bother us at all as the street where the apartment is located is a secondary one. We reached Rome by car and wanted to make sure our car was safe in a private car parking (the lowest price we found online was 25 euros per day), but than we asked people living in the area and decided to park our car in the street of the apartment. Nothing happened to our car and we saved our money!
Colosseo and Vittorio Emanuele underground stops were within walking distance (8 minutes). Those stops are respectively on the blue and red underground line, which are the two (and only) lines connecting tourists attractions.
The apartment is completely renovated, exactly the way the pictures show it. The furniture is modern, with a touch screen kitchen (!). Everything was very clean. There is also a washer/dryer which "speaks" about 20 languages! You can regulate the apartment's temperature by yourself. The building is also very nice and well mainteined.
The apartment manager is very kind and offers her support any time you need it (she and her colleagues are always reachable by phone. We were told that soon or later they will have an office in the building, which is under renovation at the moment).
We had a problem with the internet connection, which was not always working so we were not able to make online reservations of tourists' attractions. We were told that a temporary modem was installed so this problem should be fixed soon.
Lastly, we reserved the one bedroom apartment as the two bedrooms was already taken (we were 2 couples and a 14 months baby), so my husband and me slept on the sofa bed. The only objection I have is that the sofa was not really a king size but smaller.
Overall, I would definetly recommend this apartment.
