Lovely Lodge!

Upper Pines Lodge is a lovely property with lots of original design features. The house is located at the end of a cul-de-sac and feels very private. The master suite and bathroom are stunning, and although the other rooms are nice as our party consisted of three couples, the master was worth fighting over! The house is well equipped for entertaining with tones of wine glasses, and lots of crockery. The chef’s kitchen is a joy to cook in. The house is located very close to Sugarbush and loads of beautiful hikes. There are also tones of local farms selling wonderful produce in the area. We would definitely go back.

This could be a long one considering all the great things the house/area has to offer. Our stay at Upper Pines Lodge was perfect! Plenty of room inside and out with an awesome deck view of the surrounding VT mtn. The 2nd best part of the house (besides the master bed) is the kitchen. Our group consisted of tri-athletes, some pro, some amateur, both with big appetites! Having a big kitchen to cook our BIG meals was great! When not racing, eating is the next best thing and with only a 1min drive down to Flatbread pizza, I was in love, by far the best way to enjoy pizza outside. You can enjoy the beautiful summer VT evenings with a group of friends or family. Love the fact that most of what you eat on the pizza was grown a stones throw away. If race venue remains at sugarbush for next year or a ski trip planned it's a no brainer to where we will stay, upper pines all the way!

This was our fifth visit to Upper Pines Lodge and we still got excited as we pulled into the driveway and got a look at our gorgeous home for the week! This visit we had a group of four adults and six children. Space is never an issue as we buckle up our boots in the morning or prepare a dinner after a day of skiing. There is plenty of room for the kids to have their own space as well. The kitchen is top notch and the carpentry is amazing throughout the house. We look forward to our trip each year and hope to continue the tradition. The owners are great to work with and keep their home very clean. After a long day of skiing, Upper Pines Lodge is the perfect place to come home to!

We had a wonderful family reunion at Upper Pines Lodge. The chalet is very cozy, immaculately clean and pulls no punches in terms of luxurious amenities. The daily wildlife right outside our windows was an endless source of enjoyment. The surroundings are extremely quiet on this dead-end dirt road. Warren is very centrally located to easily access several ski resorts (Sugarbush, Mad River Glen, Stowe, Smuggler’s Notch, Bolton Valley, etc.) and Vermont’s two largest cities (Burlington and Montpelier.) We highly recommend this rental.

Each year a group of us from college rent a house in Vermont for a long weekend with our families. We had a group of 7 adults this year and found this home on the web. The house was amazing, beautifully designed and built. The large steam shower was perfect after an all day hike. We cooked all weekend in the gourmet kitchen, and spend the evenings in the living room with a roaring fire. The house is filled with beautiful antiques and quilts, however was completely kid friendly, accommodating the 3 children under the age of 4 that were with us. We are hoping to come again next year and beyond.

Feeling of Seclusion, Yet Convenient Location

If you can imagine the perfect blend of what a home designed to reflect the beautiful woods of mountainous Vermont and every luxury you need to feel special, then the Upper Pines Lodge is your destination. We were looking for a relaxing week in a nice abode and found it many times over. The weather was unusual for Vermont in that it rained quite a bit the week we were there in August, but the design allowed the windows to be open and we felt like we were outdoors. We found many comfortable places in the home to read or just sit around and talk, as well as a wonderful room where we enjoyed the summer Olympics. The long dining table was perfect for games. The privacy is unmatched and yet the local dining is superb, varied and numerous. The local clubhouse and chairlift just up the mountain offer indoor and outdoor activities and workouts. The location provided us with a wonderful home base for day trips to historic places, quaint villages, and/or popular tourist sites for the younger ones (such as Ben and Jerry's). The house is perfect for its setting with stunning architectural details. In particular, the rooms are designed such that there is a great feeling of privacy indoors also. It speaks of luxury and space.
