Southern aspect with views of central Green Mountains, Killington and Pico. One mile above quaint town of Pittsfield (15 minutes north of Killington on Route 100). This is a peaceful chalet set in woods with a great fireplace and common room, rustic farm table, ski and farm historical decor. Golf, ski and snowshoe all nearby.
Our family first came to VT in 1958, when it was so novel to have folks from down country purchasing local property, that our purchase of a small farm house on Rt 100, just south of the center of Pittsfield made news in the Rutland Hearld.
We built this house (Robert Williams was our architect) in 1965 where two sons were raised. The family was a long time member of the Killington Ski Club, with both children competing as either ski racers or freestylers over their youth.
Both children went on to Middlebury where they continued to race competitively.
Scenic, quiet and south facing.
Lets you choose when you want to engage in the surrounding world.
We love the fact that it is warm in the winter, has great views, lets the kids have fun and parents relax on the deck or on the love seat swing.
