lake house: This is a Lake Lodge w/large picture windows and decks.. In 2010 we added a sunroom/den overlooking the Lake,bringing the entrance closer to parking. The lodge is well furnished from kitchen to bath. You bring the food only. We wish you a fun relaxing and enjoyable stay at our beautiful mountain lake. From boating to nearby skiing and hiking the area is full of fun things to do with nature ,sightseeing and history. Easy access to many whitewater adventures/trout river fishing, flea markets, cinemas, plays and many restaurants are nearby. Located next to a marina and a public boat ramp is just acrosslake by bridge. Many coves to explore and fish on this beautiful pristine lake next to Cherokee National Forest..

Or you can sit and enjoy the view, watch 10 satellite movie channels and do nothing on the Lake.

Activities in area: This is for mountain /Lake sports. Rent a bike on the Creeper trail ride down hill from Whitetop Mt on old railroad bed to Damascus.Day trips from Bristol are Abingdon (19 miles), Cumberland Gap (100 miles), Roan Mountain (60 miles), North Carolina ski areas, Gatlinburg, Asheville, North Carolina, Nolichucky River Rafting (40 miles), whitewater rafting on the Nollochuckie River, Dixie Pottery (13 miles). Numerous historic sites for day tripping are close by such as Rocky Mount reconstructed 1700 farmstead. Not to mention wonderful state parks and mountains to drive up (Whitetop Mountain is open to vehicles). This area has an abundance of mountain views and drives that are undiscovered by the non-locals. Views are much better when leaves are off trees in off season but the lake gets exciting in summer with the activities and nice lake beaches.Some of the best trout fishing near Weirs dam is open to those with a license. enjoy the marina with a boat rental on site at our dock.

pet policy: WE like our dogs but we leave them home when we vacation. Dogs tend to run off in woods or get in street in front of house and exposed to car traffic. .Also dogs tend to keep patrons awake due to unfamiliar surroundings. Never the less we will consider a pet that stays in sun front room and the renter is going to pay for any damages or clean up from allowing a pet inside house. Additional deposit for protection is required.We like to keep the interior house allerge free for persons with sensitiviies to pets and therefore confine the pet to the front sunroom area of house. Dogs that have expereince with damaging property ie young dogs, need to be kenneled.
