Loon Song

Loon Song is a gem among lake cottages. The view of the lake from inside is spectacular (clearly the setting and design of this new cottage was well thought out). Even when indoors you feel like you're outdoors. The generous multi-leveled deck provides lots of flexibility with a group. We walked in on a Saturday afternoon and just needed to make our beds and unload groceries then we were on our way with kayaking, fishing, swimming, hot tubbing, sunning, chatting, reading, etc. Oh what fun we had. The owners were generous with wood for the fire pit and gas for the grill and motor boat. It was everything and more than we had hoped for. The owners were friendly and helpful before, during and after our stay.

Truly a good find

Our first visit to Loon Song was in the fall of 2010. I was looking for a lake front get away that was peaceful and where we could enjoy the fall foliage. Not all of us enjoy the out doors so I need to find a place that accommodated all. I knew Loon Song could be enjoyed for inside and outside activates from looking at the pictures online. When we arrived it exceeded our expectations. The all glass back of the house facing the lake was a constant view even from the kitchen. The multi level decks, hot tub and private beach area gave us all a place to entertain ourselves individually or in a group. We enjoyed it so much that we retuned in the summer to enjoy some water activities. One thing that surprised all of us was the way you felt at home as soon as we walked in. We actually now refer to the place as “our lake house”. This was truly a good find.

Both times we found the house cleaned and ready. There was even fire wood in the fire place and the fire pit ready for us.
