We are again looking for a vacation rental, and I'm paying attention to the reviews and thinking I should have done one for this rental, which my family stayed in the summer of 2011. The oldest college student was unable to come with us because of work, but this was a great house! We all had our own space. The beach was small but nice.
We were there on a very hot week and had trouble getting/keeping the house cool.

a wonderful place for a family get-together

Very `gemuetlich'; abundance of beds (though you have to bring your own bed linen and towels); the two kitchens are well provisioned; excellent WIFI throughout the house (with an ethernet cable in one room to boot); the beach on Newfound Lake across the road is easily reached and, although supposedly shared with five other houses, we never saw anyone else there. We had great hikes in the nearby hills, amusing swimming and diving at Sculptured Rocks at north end of lake, the world's biggest gaming arcade about 20 miles east, beyond Bristol, near Lake Winnipesauke, good grocery store (Hannaford) about 10 miles north and east (outside Plymouth).
