Flights of Fancy

Take 'Flight' to the heart of Whalehead Beach; whether it’s to enjoy an illuminating sunrise or spectacular Outer Banks sunset from 'Fancy’s' skydeck. This attractive, well appointed home affords guests easy ocean access via a wide, life-guarded silky sand beach and is located in close proximity to area shopping and dining.

Ground Level - Features a rec room with bumper pool/poker/game table, wet bar with full-size refrigerator and ice maker, TV with home theater/surround sound/DVD/CD and sleeper sofa. A room with two Duobunks, a full bath and laundry room.

Mid Level - Has three bedrooms and two baths; A queen master bedroom, queen room, a room with two bunk sets and a full bath. You can access the shaded decks hammock and porch swing directly from the master bedroom.

Top Level - Provides a spacious great room with queen sleeper sofa, a dining area, raised game table area with oak floor, gas fireplace, TV, VCR, DVD, Central stereo with indoor-outdoor speakers, well equipped kitchen and a semi-private queen master bedroom with private deck entrance and bath. Excellent ocean and sound views.

Extras - Private pool, Hot Tub, gas fireplace, six TVs, two DVDs, three VCRs, a surround sound system, Central Stereo with CD, indoor-outdoor speakers, shaded porch swing, hammock, basketball hoop, horseshoe pit, volleyball net, outdoor shaded dog run, no smoking, pet friendly, dogs only please due to allergy.

Our home awaw from home!

We have been staying at Flights of Fancy for almost 10 years. We stay twice a year, and now for three weeks a year. The house is comfortable, has everything you need, and is extremely well maintained, whether it is early in May, or in October, after a busy summer season. The location in Whalehead is the best, just right off 12N, no long blocks with stop signs. Easy walk to the beach, and the best sunrises and sunsets ever. Great pool and hot tub.

Phil and Cheryle obviously take pride in their home, and you can tell they love to share it with other OBX addicts, like ourselves. Both sides of our family take turns visiting with us, and now friends join us for a week also. I highly recommend Flights of Fancy. You will get a great house, a well-appointed kitchen, comfort and relaxation. We can hardly wait to get back again this fall...and have already reserved for next spring! It truly is a home away from home, except better...no chores!!!

Ideal Vacation Spot

The property is centrally located in Corolla and has all the amenities a family needs to enjoy a vacation. We enjoyed taking a break from the beach for a cookout with family games of horse shoes, volleyball and basketball. The pool and hot tub are a bonus! The multilevel decks were unique and the relaxing hammock was ideal for reading a good book. Beach access is just about a 5 minute walk away and the Food Lion and other shops are accessible just minutes by car without having to get on the main roadway. I can't say enough about the amenities and the great design of the property. Thank you for a GREAT vacation!
