BEAUTIFUL HOME - PERFECT LOCATION!!

We always have a wonderful time at this lovely, well-kept home on the coast of Maine. We are a group of friends who usually visit once in the summer, and once off-season. Needless to say, each one of us will list something favorite they love about it. But we do all marvel at the beautiful décor, the creature comforts, the location, the large deck, the views, and the walks we love to take along the path to the Nubble Light house and then to town. It's a very spacious home with a large kitchen and living room.. a place to gather with good friends..or curl up a with a good book!
...Ofcourse, there are great places to have Maine lobster and blueberry pie - Fox's Lobster restaurant is up on the hill.....and up the road from Brown's ice cream...yum!! Lots to see and do in the area...walking on the beach is my favorite thing.
Great thanks to Audrey and Bruce who maintain this lovely home so well and make it such a wonderful place to visit!!

Lovely house, wonderful views, great location

This is one of the best renting experiences we've ever had. The house was very clean with plenty of room, both inside and out, for family and friends. The house is on a quiet street that is just a short walk (about 2 min) to Short Sands, which was very convenient when we wanted to come home and take a nap or grab a snack. It's also a short walk to town where we went each night with the kids to buy candy at Sweet Josies, play games at the arcade, or walk on the beach en route to dinner. The outdoor shower was a bonus, and the picnic area was perfect for hosting a lobster dinner. Love the new hammock chair they installed on the outside deck! Perfect for reading a good book or napping. Would definitely recommend to others and plan to visit again next summer!
Owner's Response: We are so glad guests are enjoying the new hammock on the front deck. We agree it is the perfect place for a nap overlooking Atlantic and enjoying the lovely ocean breezes!

Perfect Beach House

This property was perfect for our family - my husband, myself, three kids and my parents. The location was perfect - set off the main street but walking distance to the beach and town. And the views of the ocean are beautiful.
Inside it is bright and sunny - very tastefully decorated - loved the colors, very beachy and spa-like. Biggest bonus was the extra living space inside - a great space for kids (and dads) to hang out and can be closed off from the mainliving area with comfy couches, huge windows and unbeatable views.
The front yard is plenty big for bocce or whiffle ball - and the back yard is perfect for private morning coffee.
We've stayed in a few different houses in the area - they are usually dated and a little too well-worn. This house feels like you are visiting family - it is bright and clean, up-to-date and clearly well-loved and cared for by its owners.
If you go, don't miss the lobster rolls at Harry's, Nana's fudge at Whispering Sands and the sicilian pizza at Woody's grill.

Dear Audrey and Bruce-I just wanted to say thank you so much for the wonderful accommodations at your house in York, Maine. What a gorgeous home you have! We absolutely loved it and appreciated all the comforts of home that you provided. We loved the town and surrounding areas. Between the beach, the restaurants, the shops and the parks -- it provided a little something for everyone. It was wonderful renting from you -- your "best of" list was a true hit. We tried to hit each recommendation. And we concur that Sweet Josie does have the best fudge in town. We made that our personal mission to test each spot's fudge. ha ha. And we celebrated our last evening with a huge apple pie from Pie in the Sky. Truly the best pie any of us had ever eaten.Attached is a photo of our crew at the Nubble Light House.
