The true measure of this apartment is that we felt comfortable here during our six-week stay in Barcelona.
An excellent location. Elegant buildings including this one. Three fine restaurants within a stone’s throw, one became our favorite. Medium-sized super-market three blocks away, minimarkets within a block. Fine bakeries also in the area. A few blocks to many fashion stores. The Metro is two blocks away. The street (Carrer Valencia) is very busy and is a main route for eastbound traffic.
The building is beautiful, with an elevator. The building and the apartment are very secure. There is a friendly, helpful concierge during the day and early evening.
The apartment faces on to the street. There are two large floor-to-ceiling double-glazed window-doors opening on to small balconies. It is very smart and well-furnished. The furniture is quite comfortable. It was immaculate when we arrived and were greeted by the agents, Marcel and Andrea. It comprises a large living-dining room, sleeping area, kitchen and bathroom. The beds are twin with very good mattresses. The clothing drawers and cupboards are built in to a wall of the dining area. Although there are two pull-down beds in the dining area, we would not recommend this apartment for sharing, although a family with one or two children could live here quite comfortably.
The kitchen is well-equipped with a good-sized refrigerator, a modern, electric ceramic-top stove & oven, a dishwasher and a microwave. There are sufficient pots & pans, dishes, cutlery, glassware and utensils. There is a window over the sink opening on to a central air-shaft.
There is a very up-to-date washer-dryer in a utility cupboard, where there is also cleaning equipment.
Finally, we have to mention Marcel and Andrea who have been very helpful during our stay and in the negotiations leading up to our renting the apartment. They have been quick to answer any of our questions.

Safe recently renovated place

We stayed at this apartment in the end of Sep 2012. Overall, the apartment must be recently renovated and in a great condition. Sizable bathroom with a shower, manageable size kitchen, there is living area combined with dining area/table. For Europe the place is of a decent size. Marcel (the agent) was easy to reach both by texting and over the phone. Location is good: 15-20 min walking time to the north tip of las Ramblas, about 5 min to the closest metro. There is a bakery few steps away and a restaurant across the street. One minute walk there is a major street with shops/restaurants. Something to keep in mind is that Barca is quite compact, so taking a cab from this place to the sea was only 12 euros. The apartment is in a historical building and area is very safe, there is a door-man during a day. It’s really on the fourth floor even though an elevator button says “2” with windows facing the street and the building across. The street is relatively busy during a day with lots of mopeds, but the street noise is minimal with closed windows. However, if someone wants to sit on a balcony outside in the evening, it’d still be too noisy. There is no bedroom per American standards, but a sleeping area separated by a glass door from the living room with two single beds pushed together. There is wireless internet and couple English speaking channels. We liked the place and the price for this quality is very reasonable.
Couple tips to the owner/manager:
- Install something simple to keep beds together during night (they kept sliding apart)
- Print out locations and directions to supermarkets/stores around the area for the visitors, those are not easy to find.

thank you for your kind feedback. Your tips are are very useful. We have now a folder in the apartment with a city map and instructions of how to find the closest grocery store and other useful information such as restaurant tips. I also have not been aware that the beds slight apartment during the night. It has been solved and future guests can also advice upfront in case they would like to have the bed to be prepared as a double bed.

the flat was well situated, close to a metro station and with a beautiful decoration.
very well laid out, well equipped and close to where we wanted to visit.
Good location, good neighborhood, and comfortable apartment!

Fantastic apartment, half a block away from Rambla de Cataluyna, NOT las Ramblas.Ten mins walk to Plaza Cataluyna, and just an ideal location with everything on your doorstep.
The apartment is really as beautiful as the photos depict, really nice.
Not a double bed, but 2 single remote (orthopedic maybe?) controlled beds....hilarious! Especially when my boyfriend was pretending to be Hannibal Lector making it go up and down so he was almost fully doubled up whilst doing that voice. ha ha
When the windows are closed the traffic noise is minimal. Because of the location you should expect a fair bit of noise, but with everthing closed, its fine.
Very safe secure building, 3 doors to lock, so no worries there.
Its a beautiful building from the outside too.
Kitchen fully equipped, washing machine, integrated dryer, the lot.
Not fantastic views as not by the sea etc but still decent city/street views.
Only negative was the air con....we couldnt manage to get it really cold. Ask agent when you go there.
The agent-Marcel was very friendly and helpful. and the price is VERY reasonable for city centre.
