We stayed at this house for 5 nights and it was a good size for 4 adults. It is an older home with older but functional fixtures. The location is ideal for walking into Bar Harbour and for visiting Acadia National Park. As other people have said, the supermarket deliveries can be a little noisy in the early morning but the location more than makes up for it. We highly recommend the fish and chips at The Thirsty Whale pub.

We would stay here again if we were in the area.

The location of this house is ideal! You are a walk away from exploring the downtown shops, food shopping, enjoying the local pubs and restaurants, renting bicycles, kayaks...Cadillac Mtn is only a few miles away by car or you can reach the Acadia Carriage Road by bicycle 1-1/2 miles away.
The house itself has every amenity you could need. The only negative I can mention is the size of the showers. They are on the small size, yet functional. For the most part this house is very comfortable and welcoming. Owners are extremely responsive and helpful. We plan to return to this rental next time we are in Bar Harbor.

We really enjoyed our stay in Bar Harbor. This home gave us easy walking access to Bar Harbor shops, parks, and restaurants. Quick drive into Acadia. House is directly behind large grocery store, which is convenient for shopping, but made the home a bit noisy. Nighttime and early AM deliveries made it a bit tough for our young children to sleep. There is no bathtub in the home, but a handheld shower head made it easy to bath our children. Our oldest loved the bunk beds. Owners provided a nice bottle of wine and fresh baked scones to help us fell very welcomed!

The Bar Harbor house is comfortable, out of the way but close to everything. We could walk downtown and to the grocery store (which we did everyday instead of going shopping only once). The house was clean and well maintained. I would recommend this property. The only drawback was the noise in the early morning hours from the back of the grocery store. We had a wonderful time and would rent this house again the next time we are in Bar Harbor.

We had a fabulous experience in Bar Harbor! The house was all it was supposed to be. It was clean, comfortable, well-maintained, and large enough for five adult women. The kitchen was equipped with just about anything one would need or want. The bedrooms are comfortable, albeit the smallest with the bunk beds would be more suited for one adult or two children, but certainly suitable. The house is located within walking distance to just about any attraction in the immediate area. And having the grocery store two minutes away was certainly a plus! I would recommend future tenants visit Stewmans, Paddy's and Cherrystone. We enjoyed each of them immensely - especially the blueberry beer! And of course, there is the shopping - loved the small boutiques! Would do it again in a heartbeat!! Shawn and Brian were terrific!

We had no regrets about our decision to rent this home for the week. From the time I contacted the owners about availability to the time we locked the house up and headed home we were not disappointed. My interaction with the owners was well organized and their followup was always timely. The home was charming clean and truly felt like we were in a home and not just a rental house. It had all the ameneties listed, everything worked and the yard was beautifully maintained. We were an easy walk to downtown and right behind the grocery store. I would be remiss if I did not mention the only downfall (only if your a light sleeper) are the truck deliveries that start early. Personally the convenience of a grocery store just steps away far outweighed the delivery traffic. There was no shortage of places to dine also short walks away (West St. Cafe, Side Street Cafe, Pats Pizza and Rosalies to name a few), We got our lobsters at Parson's (a 3 minute ride) and cooked them in our well equipped kitchen. We loved our carriage ride tour of the Rockefeller bridge's in Acadia. All in all it was evident that our hosts Brian and Shawn really take pride in their home and they make it a pleasant place for their guests. I will not hesitate to rent this home again and to recommend this rental to my friends and family!

What a special spot! The secluded location of your house in the middle of downtown was ideal. We loved the decor of your home and the well landscaped yard. The privacy fence, rock patio and grill in the backyard were a nice surprise. Thank you for making this the best vacation ever! We will be back!
