Duck Cove Cottage

An extraordinary vacation getaway that
immediately felt more like home than a
rental cottage. Perfect in every way and down to every last detail (not kidding: even enough hangers for clothes!!), including the really comfortable furnishings, fully equipped kitchen, tranquil & beautiful setting, and unusually gracious and thoughtful owners - all set in a relaxing and friendly community within easy driving range of a multitude of diverse activities to suit every taste. We feel extremely fortunate to have found such an ideal vacation cottage available in this spectacular area of Maine and truly can't imagine there is much out there that would equal the terrific experience we had at Duck Cove Cottage. Thank you, Gary and Debi,for sharing your lovely home, and especially for creating such a warm and cozy environment that so readily feels like home to others.

This was the most comfortably furnished vacation home we have ever stayed in. Very tranquil setting and great location for biking and kayaking right out the door or nearby. We enjoyed the quiet solitude of Maine while having easy access to dining, art and music.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and couldn't have been any happier. The house was very nice and the atmosphere was very quiet. A perfect place to relax!

Our one-week stay at Duck Cove Cottage was very pleasant. The beauty of the surroundings provided a dream like backdrop and the beautifully appointed and comfortable interior were even better than we expected. The interior aesthetic is artful and Maine-like, so that even the bleakest weather did not disturb our vacation mood. Brooklin made for tranquil times even during the height of the summer season. The sunset over nearby Lookout Point was one of the best we’ve ever seen. We look forward to returning for two weeks next time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Duck Cove
Cottage: it served as a delightful base for getting
out to explore the surrounding area, as well as for
simply kicking back out on the deck and revelling in
the gorgeous autumn weather. We particularly liked
the seclusion and quiet.
The place itself is tastefully and sensibly appointed:
very comfortable bedroom and living room, a well-
supplied kitchen, and all the requisite appliances.
It is evident that attention has been paid to those
small details that make a place a home.
Heartfelt thanks to Gary and Debi for sharing their
cottage with us, as it played a major role in making
our first trip to Maine such a pleasurable and
memorable one.
