My stay at the cabin

The cabin was spacious and had the old town charm I was looking for. Taking two teenage children on a trip without TV and internet can be quite challenging nowadays, but the cabin provided both. This led to more enjoyable evenings for the adults on the deck, as the kids settled down for the evening. Would highly recommend the cabin for a family or group of 4 to 6 people.

All,

We had great weekend getaway at this cabin. Though an old cabin with old appliances, overall it was extremely cosy property. Location is great, right in the middle of redwood trees.

I would recommend this cabin for nice weekend vacations.

We needed a place that could accommodate four of us and didn't have the time available to book an entire week (as most Russian River area properties seem to insist upon in the summer). This worked out perfectly. We cooked a couple of great meals and had plenty of evening conversation on the deck outside. The house isn't fancy but that's part of the appeal-- we weren't 'walking on eggshells' in someone else's home. The whole experience turned out to be just what we needed!

Cute neighborhood, loved the narrow streets and funky houses. We stayed 2 mellow nights with our 3 teenage children. Rustic, funky, but comfortable. Loved the visits on the deck from the neighborhood cat, "Oreo". Nice TV, internet usage, great dining on deck and in kitchen. Close drive to everything.
We'd like to come back with another family sometime for the party vibe!

Comfortable, serene home away from home!

My partner Carolyn and I spent three lovely days at this quaint, quiet, serene and comfortable home nestled amongst the trees on a street that felt private and unfettered! The kitchen is HUGE. The three bedrooms small but workable! The deck was a wonderful plus and we barbequed each night we were there...Ten or twelve people could fit on that deck The knotty pine made me feel like I was in Twain Harte. I also felt like Carolyn and I were "alone in the world" which is exactly what we were seeking after a very stressful and action-packed year of upheaval, moving, etc. There is a huge TV (which we never watched) and I think many channels, including the big names, and we loved the wireless internet as our cell phones were dicey, due to outages in the woods. Jan also has an old fashioned phone there with unlimited calls in the United States and that was a plus!
If you want to be alone with your darling, cozy and snuggy in the, what felt like mountains to us, or if you want to party on down with a shipload of mates, THIS house is for you and yours! I was not too keen on doing a lot of cleanup right before we left, but that is the rule and it worked out okay. I still had the taste of vacationing without spending a fortune when I left....alone with some bucks in my wallet! This is probably the greatest deal on the river and no, you are not on the river but so very close. I am a teacher and deal with lots of stress so our days away are precious! This is more than worth the time and money and memories! Linda

This is a great vacation cabin: very rustic and quaint, large and comfortable, fantastic porch and family-style kitchen, down-to-earth but with all the amenities. This was the perfect spot for our family reunion! Thanks!
