Charleston Carriage Home

Property is beautifully restored and located in a quiet residential neighborhood. Once you arrive you never have to drive because of its central location and the parking provided is a plus. It was a pleasure staying there as every amenity was supplied by the owner. Restaurants were all within walking distance (we especially liked Cypress) best bet for oyster lovers is Pearlz on East Bay, the happy hour (4-7) prices are great and the oysters the best. Much better then staying at a hotel.

We traveled with children, and felt right at home! The home was perfect, clean, and stocked with essentials. It is located in a nice quiet part of town, but is close to everything. We will definitely be back! Breakfast at fast and french is a must!

I was a bit disappointed that we weren't told ahead of time about church construction 20 feet away, but it didn't spoil the trip.

Perfect Charleston Experience

We could not have had a better place to stay. It's more beautiful than the pictures reveal! The location was absolutely ideal. We walked to everything: shopping, dining, historic sites. The pool & courtyard were so lovely, and so nice to have it all to ourselves! We were there mid-September and it was perfect.

The property was in like-new condition, very clean, and with freshly tidied landscaping. We felt very safe and were happy to have the gated drive to park our car in, although the gate was stuck open while we were there.

Some of our favorite restaurants were: Blossom, Rue 39, & Cru Cafe. We also spent a day at Magnolia Plantation and had so much fun--- I highly recommend that! Also, we enjoyed exploring Fort Multrie. In Charleston, we enjoyed the Nathaniel Russell House. We met the nicest people in all the restaurants and shops too, especially the Bay Street Meeting House.

Only complaints: The rental contact was very minimalistic and slightly unprofessional in answering questions. Then, the owner sent a plumber to the carriage house while we were there and I would have appreciated being contacted about this, as we were planning a nap for that time! We just came back and found her friend there who told us what was going on. Now, her friend was so sweet and it all worked out fine, I just didn't think that was very courteous, especially considering that there was absolutely no plumbing problem, which we could have told her.

Great location

You're only about a 10 minute walk from some of the best shopping, restaurants and southern homes in Charleston! Plus, you'll see some fantastic sites on your way. The home is in perfect condition and very comfortable. You'll enjoy having coffee or an afternoon cocktail in your beautifully manicured backyard. After dark, the backyard accent lighting makes this very special. The onsite PC made it easy to do last minute searches for restaurants or historic sites. We recommend this property.

This is a beautiful, clean place to stay. Our girls enjoyed going for a swim right after breakfast, and we enjoyed the beautiful gardens. It is in walking distance to great shopping and restaurants. We love Poogan's Porch and 82 Queen. Kaminsky's is great for dessert.

We just returned from our trip. Grandmother, daughter, and granddaughters all loved this carriage house. It was great to be so close to everything. We loved walking around the town and touring the museum homes. All the furnishings were absolutely charming. We were all very comfortable. I don't know who loved the garden most- the kids or grandma. From the moment we got there we were all plotting when we could come back again.
