A really nice large wooden Cottage in a great location.. Just around the corner from Geysir and a short drive from Gulfoss Waterfall.
The Cottage was well equipped with all the things you need for a self catering holiday. The bed in the Master Bedroom is extremely comfortable. It was nice to have your own Hot Tub on the Porch .
We stayed at the Cottage for ten days. It was a great base for sightseeing and activities. We had a great holiday.

There is not much to add to all the great reviews for this cottage: they are all 100% true! The cottage was clean, comfortable, and warm, and it was easy to cook in the kitchen. My party had six people (an adult brother and sister, their partners, their mother, and their aunt), and it never felt crowded and was easy to have privacy. I was a little nervous about all of us sharing one bathroom, but that proved to be no problem at all. The geothermal hot tub was a great experience (no chemicals, no temperature gauges), a perfect way to relax after long days of winter adventures. The skylights in the upstairs loft made it easy to spot the northern lights from inside - and then we all rushed outside and stood around the hot tub to be dazzled. Geysir/Strokkur is just a couple minutes away - just around a hill - so we went there a couple of times (in the very late afternoon, we had the whole Geysir area to ourselves). Kristin is incredibly friendly and responds quickly to e-mails. Iceland Air could not locate one of our suitcases until the day before we left, and I am very grateful to Kristin for her assistance in arranging with the airline for it to be delivered to the cottage while we were out sightseeing. We all had a wonderful time in Iceland (our first trip here), and this cottage was an enormous part of that pleasure. We hope to come back soon and stay here again!

Kristin was an extremely friendly and helpful host who really went the extra mile, before we booked, and all the way though our stay. This was a surprise trip which I had booked to bring my girlfriend to Iceland to realise her childhood dream of seeing the northern lights and for me to propose to her. Kristin really did everything that she could to accommodate us and to help to make this a trip we would never forget.

The cottage was absolutely perfect, it is as beautiful as it looks in the photos and feels very homely. It was very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and it had all of the facilities we needed, in a fantastic location. It would very comfortably accommodate six people as advertised (although the kitchen was just the right size for the two of us despite still being equipped for six). It would be a perfect place to stay whether visiting in the winter as we did, or in the summer.

It is in a very quiet, secluded location, perfect for seeing the northern lights and a fantastic night sky. It was very conveniently located for exploring the Golden Circle and is an easy drive from Reykjavik. We were also able to do some longer day trips to Vík and the surrounding areas of the south coast, and to Skaftafell and Jökulsárlón.

It was amazing to come back and relax in the hot tub, sipping champagne and watch the northern lights dancing across the sky after a long day exploring the many unique sights nearby. We were lucky enough to see the northern lights a few times during our stay and see some shooting stars.

We would both recommend this cottage very highly and we will certainly be returning again as soon as we have a chance!

We just got back from an awesome holiday in Iceland staying at this cottage! There are so many good things to say, I'm not sure where to start!
Location wise, the cottage is in a quiet valley with hills surrounding it, it was perfect for exploring Geysir, Gullfoss and Thingvellir National Park, as they were all a short drive away...(Geysir was only down the road). We chose this cottage for its remoteness so we could get away from the light pollution and it was perfect for that!

The cottage itself was very comfortable, warm and cosy. The bed was really comfortable, as were the sofas. The hot tub was amazing! We sat in that most nights, and got to see the Northern Lights directly above us! It was fantastic!
On the nights we didn't see the lights, we saw a beautiful sky absolutely filled with stars, it was incredible.

Kristin was very helpful before our stay, answering my many questions promptly and clearly, and went out of her way during our stay to help make our adventure very memorable.

I will be recommending the cottage to my friends and family. Thank you again Kristin and Bjarni!

Great cottage in a peaceful location yet close to attractions like the Geysirs and Gullfoss. The cottage was very clean, warm, cosy, comfortable and had good facilities. The hot tub was a perfect way to unwind at the end of the day looking up into the sky and drinking cocktails. We had so much fun here.

The owners Kristin and Bjarni were very welcoming and provided us with excellent customer service. Many thanks to them.

I will definitely come here again and will be recommending the cottage to family and friends.

The cottage reponded to our expectations and more. Very easy to get to and it was nice and cleen. The bedrooms are very flexible, where you have a master bedroom, a bedroom with to beds that you can easily put together, and there is an open 2.floor with beds for four more people i think. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen has all the aquitments you need to prepare a meal, in our case Icelandic lamb. It was very nice to have the kitchen og livingroom together so we were all together when the meal was prepared. After the meal we all went out to the tub with some mojitos in our hands. The next day we went to se Gullfoss and Geysir, which is just a few min. drive from the cottage. Both Gullfoss and Geysir is a must see when you are visitting Iceland.

Both Kristin and Bjarni were very nice and helpful during our stay in Iceland. We are definitly comming back. Soon :-) I can and will recommend this cottage for friends and family.
