Spring in the Outer Banks

This property is exactly as described. It is clean and well-kept. It is truly just steps to the beach. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the sunrise over the ocean every morning. Everything you could need is provided (linens, paper products, laundry supplies, beach chairs and umbrellas, etc.). Amy (the owner) is very friendly and helpful. She even sent us visitor's guides and brochures before we arrived. We had a great stay and hope to visit again soon. I would definitely recommend this property.

We had a great time staying at this vacation home! It was everything we expected, plus more! Amy provided everything we could have needed and she was very friendly and personable. The house was very clean and neat! The fenced in back yard was great for our dog and the hot tub was awesome to relax in at night! The house is right across the street from the beach and has a great view from the front porch! We truly enjoyed our experience and would definitely go back!

The Outer Banks Escape is perfect. Everything is provided and the house is very clean and relaxing. Amy is the greatest. She makes you feel as if you have known her forever. This is our second year here and we are planning on coming back next year. It's also great for bringing your pets. Definitely a place to relax without any complaints.

We had a great time at the "escape". The owner, Amy, does a great job providing any necessities you can think of, including paper napkins, kleenex boxes in various rooms, kitchen towels and laundry detergent. All of that is accompanied with a personal touch in the entire house that makes you truly feel at home.
Between the living room/kitchen area and the bed rooms is an extra door, which we found helpful, if one already was in bed or wanted to sleep in, while the other was still or already up.
The fenced in yard was great for our two dogs. You don't have immediate access to it from the house, but have to go out through the front door and around the house to the back. However, we got used to that real quickly and enjoyed the quiet outdoor space away from the road.
We would definitely rent this house again.

We loved our Outer Banks Escape experience! Me, my husband, and our two dogs could not have asked for a better beach rental home. Everything was taken care of by Amy and she was kind enough to mention that we should call if we needed anything. I was especially impressed by the cleanliness of the home...some places you never know what condition things will be in, but with Amy's house everything was spotless and in great condition. We are excited to rent from her next year!

Amy is one of the nicest owners we have rented from. The cottage is just the right size for a small family and we must take our little casey(shih tzu). You don't need anything to bring except yourself and buy your food. She supplies everything else. I hope to stay again next year and maybe again sooner..

We had a great time last year and this year, with the weather cooperating, was even better. Amy is the best hostess. She makes sure that you have everything you need. Not having to pack the linens and towels is such a relief. She even supplies paper and laundry products!! She tells you to just give a call if you need anything. I have never needed anything extra, but have no doubt she would get it to me asap. She is that good.

The cottage is spotless, comfortable and just a few steps from the beach!

We found our experience at Outer Banks Escape even better than advertised! The cottage was the perfect size for two Moms on a getaway week while their teenage sons toured the Outer Banks by bike. The cottage is attractively furnished and decorated, very clean, and filled with everything you need for a relaxing week away. We brought our clothing (bring warmer gear for an April visit as it can be very windy and cool!) and a few groceries and had a wonderful week. Off street parking is available right next to the cottage steps. The beach access was two houses down, and very convenient. The beach is beautiful - lots of sand and shells. We walked daily to both piers - a comfortable 2-3 mile roundtrip in either direction. Easy access to all the shopping or tourist destinations you desire, but you have a nice view of the beach across the Rt.12. The road is a little noisy when the truck traffic goes by, but you have a nice fenced backyard with lounge chairs and a hot tub where you don't hear a thing. The price was perfect for thrifty travelers who want to cook their own meals in the comfort of home. Great DVD and VHS tape collection too - for all ages! Lots of special touches make this truly a home away from home - thanks Amy for all your thoughtfulness! We would definitely stay again.
