A home avay from home

Our little family (couple in their 30'ies and a baby aged 9 months) spent a wonderful week at Shelsea in July '09.
We wanted to rent a house with a garden, minimum 2 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, that was within (short)walking distance to a nice beach, private and tranquil and still not too far away from a town.
All our wishes were fulfilled with Shelsea. The house is located in a well-kept garden with beautiful trees and flowers and frequently visited by colourful hummingbirds. The house has a big patio were we ate most of our meals and sat in the evenings. The house is tastefully decorated with three welcoming bedrooms and two practical bathrooms. The kitchen area is well equipped and the livingroom area inviting. There is a parking area outside the house for a car (we rented one from Stingray Car Rentals next door).
Sheila, the owner, was delightful to work with. She takes excellent care of her guests and is through and through reliable. Her friend and neighbour, Ron, holds the key to the house and had upon our request stacked the house with a few essentials to begin with, like tea, bread, butter, cheese, eggs etc. A charming man who also was ever so helpful. On Saturdays Yvonne, the housekeeper, comes and cleans the house. She was sweet, efficient and discreet.
We highly reccomend staying at Shelsea and would be happy to stay there again. There is a two minute walk from the house to the nearest beach, Maxwell Baech, wich is cozy and beautiful. A 15 minute walk away to Oistins, the nearest town. The Friday Fry-up is reccomended. And a car rental agency next door. We rented a car and explored the whole island, worth doing.
I unfortunataly forgot my camera in the rental car. I am delighted to say that with the extremely kind help of Ron and Sheila it is now safe back into my possesion. THANK YOU!
The only thing to comment on, and it has nothing to do with Shelsea; July is the wet-season, and mosquitoes are everywhere.
