Scrap-O-Rama

The property was better than expected. Instructions from the owner were very detailed and easy to follow. The cabin was clean and extremely comfortable. The neighborhood was very quiet. Total relaxation. Much better than I had hoped for. Imagine having your morning coffee on the deck, listening to the river flow and watching the humming birds only a few feet away.

My husband and I had a fantastic weekend in Payson at the Rustic Retreat. Cabin was very clean, well maintained and all the amenities you need to relax and enjoy your stay. The owners demonstrated excellent customer service, took the time to answer specific questions I had, and responded promptly to any correspondence. I would highly recommend this cabin to family and friends. We enjoyed home cooking and dining at the beautiful log table that would comfortably seat eight, or outside on the wrap around deck that overlooked the Verde River which included all the sights, sounds, and fresh mountain air you came for. The log beds in both rooms, log sofa and chair were gorgeous. We didn't use the fabulous fireplace, as it was summer, but enjoyed its visual beauty. The large glass windows in the living room, cute wood paneled bathroom and shower cubby gave you an outdoor feeling with indoor luxury. Only six miles from town, quiet and relaxing....indulge yourself in a Rustic Retreat. We're glad we did.

Me and my wife had a great time in this place. It's a cozy cottage/cabin in a great secluded place inside a nice, friendly, quiet neighborhood. I would recommend it to everybody.

hear the creek running from the large deck. The
interior had everything you would need like being
at home.
Very clean. Working with the owners was awesome.
Your deposit returned quickly and they really take
pride to make sure you are happy. Thank you...we
will be back soon. The beds and the linens were
very nice. Enough pillows and covers. If selecting a
cabin, we have stayed at many....this one rates as
one of the top ones. The rates are also more
reasonable that a hotel and most of the other
cabins.

We stayed here as a family vacation. It was beyond our expectations. The house was just like a cabin. We also didn't have to worry about a lot of trinkets or breakables, as my youngest was not quite 2 at the time. The bunk beds worked great for my kids, The owner had indicated that they had a port a crib which is pictured & a high chair, but they also had a jogging stroller. which was great for walking around the area. which i did with the kids while my husband cooked the fish we had caught at one of the lakes near by. Needless to say i would definately stay here again. Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your home. The Maldonados

My boys had the best time with the close proximity to the river and the secluded area. The cabin was well stocked--even with coloring books, plush towels, and travel guides! We were able to eat meals, watch movies, play games, and just enjoy the cooler temps from the comfort of this cabin. A highlight for us was how kid friendly it was--even providing baby items and toys. The instructions from the owners were very informative. If it had one more bedroom we'd be up there all the time! We loved our experience and hope to return again!
