Really amazing honeymoon

We had a great time, this was our honeymoon and we loved the cabin. With that said, let me say something about the driveway. It is absolutely accessible with a front-wheel drive, you don't need a 4WD. But if you are coming in a sedan, I would advise going up the drive first time in daytime and going very slowly. When your car is loaded up, as ours was the first time, the weight of the extra luggage can cause the undercarriage to bottom out and hit the rocks on the driveway. After you unload your car, getting up and down will be easier. On the final approach to the cabin, pick up some speed so the momentum of your car will carry up over the final gravel portion of the drive.
I also have a beef with the advertising for the cabin, which says "internet access". They DO have a phone, and if you still have a phone modem (increasingly rare) you could get a dialup connection but I think most people when they hear "internet access" they think broadband or wifi. There ain't none of that in French Broad River cabin. It was easier looking up internet using my cellphone; signal reception was strong.
We had a great time and especially loved the hot tub. The kitchen is modern, and the air conditioning, while rarely needed, was a godsend on a few occasions. The washer and dryer was very handy too. We would definitely come back to French Broad River cabin.
The view of the French Broad River was obscured by trees at the time of year we went, but after the leaves fall I think the view would be grand.
