|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
Our lovingly renovated farmhouse offers the option of cosy B&B, which sleeps up to 14 in 5 ensuite bedrooms (3 twins & 2 quads) or a self catered apartment for up to 6.
Situated on a quiet back road of Morzine but only a five minute walk from the town centre, a ski lift, and the town swimming pool. We are in an ideal area for walking, golfing, cycling and touring holidays in the summer and in a buzzing ski resort during the winter.
Both the B&B and the apartment share the same entrance hall and have access to a boot drier and ski, board or bike storage.
The B&B is flexible with your arrival dates and length of stay so you can make the most of the cheaper midweek flights. Minimum stay - 3 nights.
Morzine/Avoriaz is in the heart of the Portes du Soleil region, which has 650 kms of marked piste for downhill skiing and snowboarding, with 243 kms of cross country skiing tracks. The area connects 12 resorts in France and Switzerland and is considered the largest linked ski area in the world. With 195 ski lifts and 694 snow cannons, the area's snow management and uplift capability has improved enormously over the last few years. From our central position, the Morzine, Les Gets, Les Crosets and Avoriaz sectors are easily accessible.
The resort normally opens mid December, or earlier if we have good early snow, until the end of April. There are pistes for all abilities, from first timers to experienced skiers. Boarders will find some excellent snow parks, with a half pipe in Avoriaz, the highest resort in the area at 1800 meters. Night skiing is also available on the Pleney slope in Morzine along with the weekly history of skiing show and a torchlight descent by the French ski instructors.
Summer in the French Alps is a beautiful time of year with a variety of activities available. Enjoy the lovely mountain scenery whilst walking, road cycling, mountain biking, paragliding or horse riding. Although we are in the mountains there are various 'beaches' at the local lakes and at Lake Geneva (Lac Leman). Our nearest 'beach' at the stunning Lac de Montriond is only a 5 minute drive away or a lovely hike alongside the river. As well as being a very relaxing place to spend the day, the lake at Montriond is proving to be an excellent place for Triathlon training. The lake is 1 km long and good for open water swimming, with a walking track around the outside for running.
There is also the new swimming pool complex in Morzine with an Olympic size outdoor pool, a flume, a 25 meter indoor pool, 3 saunas and 2 hammams.
There are lots of tennis courts, a skate park, the luge d'ete (toboggan run), golf courses, adventure parks (rope climbing & flying foxes through the tree tops), a quad bike circuit, and for the daring, bungy jumping from the Nyon cable car and flying the unique 'Fantasticable'. On the river Dranse there is white water rafting, canoeing, and other methods of running the rapids.
We can custom build small group holidays for painting groups, photographic groups, walkers, golfers and road cyclists, using our minibus to reach the best locations.
For Summer we are again participating in the Multi pass scheme where you can enjoy lots of the local amenities for just 2 euros per day per person or less. Facilities included in the scheme are:-
Chair lifts (for walkers only),
Tourist road trains,
This summer we are offering a FREE Multi Pass on stays of 5 nights or more - a great saving while having fun!
Mountain bikers with a Portes du Soleil pass will be able to use the Multipass facilities for free when staying with us.
I would just like to say many thanks for a lovely stay at your home in Morzine. You both delivered exactly what you said you would and we very much enjoyed your warm and friendly hospitality. In particular I would like to thank you for passing on so much of your local knowledge on where to ski, eat, drink and watch some very good live music, it made our stay so much easier.
I visited Morzine as a sightseer rather than a mountain sport enthusiast. I enjoyed my stay at Nina and Paul's B & B very much. The room was extremely clean and the breakfasts great. It was just a short walk into the centre of Morzine where there are plenty of buses and lifts for the non skier.
I recently stayed at the Chalet with my husband and sister for a long weekend and found it an ideal solution for our needs. Warm and cosy with a good breakfast and a lovely lounge area where we sat after a few drinks in town each night and enjoyed another bottle of vino and a few beers, it was the pefect weekend crash pad. Flexible on dates, without a minimum stay, we enjoyed every minute of our post new year break and wer made to feel extrmely welcome by paul and nina. Close enough to town to be convenient but a very pleasant 10 minute walk gave it a really good location, and I would recommend this chalet to anyone looking for friendly, cosy and convenient rooms, affordable, flexible and on the doorstep of a beautiful winter wonderland,
We decided to stay a few days here having been elsewhere in Morzine. Paul and Nina are very friendly and helpful and their chalet is in a wonderful spot - close to everything but quiet too. We shall be returning in a couple of months and would recommend this to anyone looking for a warm welcome in Morzine winter or summer.
From the moment we were greeted Nina and Paul looked after us as though we were at home with good friends. Holidays can be made through the efforts of your hosts and accomodation, all of which was to a very high standard. Comfortable and cosy with the relaxation of an excellent home cooked meal tailored to your evenings events.I can not recommend this B&B more highly but for the fear that it might become harder to book next year!!!!
I have stayed with Paul and Nina for approximately 8 years and I really look forward to staying with them. The chalet is always clean and comfortable and they are always friendly and willing to help in whatever way they can.
The old market town of Morzine is situated in the river Dranse valley, below the cliff top town of Avoriaz. A market is still held every Wednesday morning down by the river.
You can soak up the atmosphere in its many bars and restaurants while enjoying a hot chocolate or something stronger. A tourist information centre and banks are located in the upper town square. There are also internet cafes, shops and a cinema (with some films in English).
The sports centre includes an ice rink, sauna, jacuzzi and bar, and hosts regular ice hockey matches. The new indoor swimming pool has 3 pools with a spa area containing 3 saunas and 2 hammams.
During the summer there are road cycle races, cross country or downhill mountain bike races, circuses, concerts, and a firework spectacle set to music at the lake in August. We are also close to Lake Geneva so the resort towns of Evian les Bains, Thonon les Bains, and Yvoire make great day trips, along with Annecy and Chamonix further afield.
Other Activities include white water rafting and canyoning.
This summer’s Multipass is even better value!
The Multi Pass is a multi-activity offer promoted by the Portes du Soleil for the summer season, allowing you to use mountain lifts for walkers,
