Morzine-Avoriaz Farmhouse Rental Photos and Description
Close to Morzine town, ski lifts and swimming pool
Our lovingly renovated farmhouse offers the option of cosy B&B, which sleeps up to 14 in 5 ensuite bedrooms (3 twins & 2 quads) or a self catered apartment for up to 6.
Situated on a quiet back road of Morzine but only a five minute walk from the town centre, a ski lift, and the town swimming pool. We are in an ideal area for walking, golfing, cycling and touring holidays in the summer and in a buzzing ski resort during the winter.
Both the B&B and the apartment share the same entrance hall and have access to a boot drier and ski, board or bike storage.
The B&B is flexible with your arrival dates and length of stay so you can make the most of the cheaper midweek flights. Minimum stay - 3 nights.
Morzine/Avoriaz is in the heart of the Portes du Soleil region, which has 650 kms of marked piste for downhill skiing and snowboarding, with 243 kms of cross country skiing tracks. The area connects 12 resorts in France and Switzerland and is considered the largest linked ski area in the world. With 195 ski lifts and 694 snow cannons, the area's snow management and uplift capability has improved enormously over the last few years. From our central position, the Morzine, Les Gets, Les Crosets and Avoriaz sectors are easily accessible.
The resort normally opens mid December, or earlier if we have good early snow, until the end of April. There are pistes for all abilities, from first timers to experienced skiers. Boarders will find some excellent snow parks, with a half pipe in Avoriaz, the highest resort in the area at 1800 meters. Night skiing is also available on the Pleney slope in Morzine along with the weekly history of skiing show and a torchlight descent by the French ski instructors.
Summer in the French Alps is a beautiful time of year with a variety of activities available. Enjoy the lovely mountain scenery whilst walking, road cycling, mountain biking, paragliding or horse riding. Although we are in the mountains there are various 'beaches' at the local lakes and at Lake Geneva (Lac Leman). Our nearest 'beach' at the stunning Lac de Montriond is only a 5 minute drive away or a lovely hike alongside the river. As well as being a very relaxing place to spend the day, the lake at Montriond is proving to be an excellent place for Triathlon training. The lake is 1 km long and good for open water swimming, with a walking track around the outside for running.
There is also the new swimming pool complex in Morzine with an Olympic size outdoor pool, a flume, a 25 meter indoor pool, 3 saunas and 2 hammams.
There are lots of tennis courts, a skate park, the luge d'ete (toboggan run), golf courses, adventure parks (rope climbing & flying foxes through the tree tops), a quad bike circuit, and for the daring, bungy jumping from the Nyon cable car and flying the unique 'Fantasticable'. On the river Dranse there is white water rafting, canoeing, and other methods of running the rapids.
We can custom build small group holidays for painting groups, photographic groups, walkers, golfers and road cyclists, using our minibus to reach the best locations.
For Summer we are again participating in the Multi pass scheme where you can enjoy lots of the local amenities for just 2 euros per day per person or less. Facilities included in the scheme are:-

Guestbook comments from the owner
I would just like to say many thanks for a lovely stay at your home in Morzine. You both delivered exactly what you said you would and we very much enjoyed your warm and friendly hospitality. In particular I would like to thank you for passing on so much of your local knowledge on where to ski, eat, drink and watch some very good live music, it made our stay so much easier.
