Great option for a laid-back weekend!

A group of seven friends and I had a fun and relaxing stay here for a girls' weekend. The house was very spacious and clean with great features ranging from an easy-to-use speaker system to the huge back deck and grill. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the deck, beautiful gardens, and swimming in the lake. The homeowner was very kind and easy to work with, making this an overall wonderful experience. I highly recommend it and hope to be back some day!

The house is absolutely beautiful with wonderful views of the water and mountains. We enjoyed our stay and the weather was beautiful. The house is beautifully furnished and has all the amenities one would need. You can tell the owner takes great pride inside and outside of the house. The landscaping was simply beautiful! We took a walk down to the water where there is a picnic table to relax and enjoy the sounds and sites. Thank you for a wonderul weekend!

Labor Day Retreat

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely and well appointed country home. The owner has taken great care and paid much attention to the details of providing a warm, welcoming, home with lots of amenities that make staying there like visiting a spa. The lake and the grounds are gorgeous and invite exploration and privacy.

Highly recommend it for an active outdoors loving group or family who also likes some pampering.

Wonderful West Virginia escape!

I rented this property for a group of friends for a long weekend of tubing and grilling - I was thrilled and extrememly pleased with all aspects. The views are amazing, and I was glad to have privacy with plenty of space and trees for a party of 8 people. It's located just 8 minutes from the Harpers Ferry tubing attractions.

The house is spacious and comfortably sleeps 8 people. It has 3 full bathrooms, all of which are beautiful, especially the master bath. The front of the house has lovely English gardens that are beautifully maintained. The back of the house has a humungous deck with plenty of seating space, outdoor speakers, and a gas grill. Below the house is an amazing quarry and our daily attraction for swimming.

The house was very clean and the linens were great quality - better than you'd expect for the average rental property. The owner was very responseive to email and met us promptly at our arrival time to show us the security features of the house.

I would certianly rent again, and my friends even discussed putting in offers to buy the house they enjoyed it so much.

Triathlon training paradise

We chose this location specifically to train for upcoming Iron Girl triathlon. The place is ideal because you get access to the private open water swim in the quarry. Our group had beginner lever swimmers and this particular quarry we were able to stop at the caves and rest on the stones if we had to. The water was calm, clear and inviting. Bike riding was through incredible countryside with some challenging hills for endurance training - loved it! The run is as beautiful as the bike ride. You can chose routes for your ability level.
The house was immaculate and newly renovated. It is also equipped with top of the line security, electronics and appliances. It was also very clean and spacious for easy entertaining. Great big deck with picnic tables are a perfect place to relax and enjoy most amazing views of the mountains and quarry below. Great parking accommodations with beautifully maintained gardens. The owners are very friendly with impeccable customer service.

It's pure serenity and a triathletes training paradise! (neighbors sell organic eggs - breakfast of the Champs:-)

Wow, I was going to write a line or two, but I guess I really liked this place.

I will be returning for Half Iron Man training in the fall and will be brining my own family to relax and maybe do some fun local activities: fishing, zip lining, white-water rafting and horse back riding.
