Large 1 bedroom, 1 bath with full kitchen, living room, dining and workspace

ArtHaven is a spacious (800 sq. ft.) one-bedroom apartment on the lower level of our Twin Peaks penthouse filled with original paintings and prints by San Francisco artist, Richard Seger. Designer wall colors and lots of special touches and amenities make this a unique, comfortable, and creative space.

With a queen bed in the bedroom and a queen-size airbed that can be inflated in the living room, it can accommodate three adults. The fold-down Coaster futon sofabed in the living space is also great for napping or for younger guests under 5' 5'tall. The apartment is attached by an interior stairway to our beautiful penthouse with shared deck and has its own fully-equipped eat-in kitchen, large living/dining/work area, attractive bath with tub/shower combo, free washer/dryer, and a private entrance. ArtHaven also has a drafting table and lots of comfortable workspace to let your creativity fly!

Free and generally easy (I am not lying!) ONSTREET parking. (we do not have off-street parking available)

Fully-equipped kitchen comes with all the necessary pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and cutlery and includes: coffeemaker and grinder, toaster oven, microwave, full-size range, and big side-by-side refrigerator with icemaker to allow you to live a true San Francisco lifestyle and shop local Farmer's Markets and prepare your own snacks and meals. Not to mention heating up yummy leftovers from great restaurants!

We are located on the lower part of Twin Peaks just above the Castro district near the intersection of Market and Clayton. Bring your walking shoes and make San Francisco your gym! It is a 15 minute walk down to Castro & Market where most major MUNI lines (K,L,M,T,S and F-Market historic street cars) converge. If you don't want to hike back up the hill, the 33 Stanyan/Mission/Potrero busline is only one relatively flat block away and the 37 Corbett drops off right behind the building. The 33 also connects you easily with UCSF, the Haight, and Golden Gate Park and heads to the Castro, Mission District and Potrero Hill in the opposite direction. This is truly in the center of San Francisco and all the major attractions are easily accessed by transit or you can drive here and have easy, free parking on the street in front of the building, no neighborhood permits necessary.

What a beautiful and spacious apartment with great amenities! It is centrally-located with easy access to transit and a short walk into the Castro district for all the restaurants, nightlife and additional transit connections that can be found there. I don't rent a car when I visit and it is easy to get everywhere I want to go. But if you have a car, I agree with Melinda, parking is really easy here with no neighborhood permits and that is pretty rare in this City. (and I used to live in San Francisco, so I know) Melinda and Colleen are gracious and fun hosts who love welcoming people to San Francisco. I highly recommend ArtHaven.

Great Location

During my visit to SF we stayed at ArtHaven in Twin Peaks - it was a great place with lots of room, nice location, clean and just want we needed. We did do some walking in the neighborhood and it was safe and completely fine. Overall great experience. Melinda is super nice! Thanks Melinda and Colleen!

Very relaxing! Great transportation access.

All the bases covered well here: clean; nicely appointed; quiet; great location; affordable. Even though I was in my favorite city in the whole world, I looked forward to being in the ArtHaven at night. Even though 3 bus lines pass within 2 blocks, you can't hear any of them. I never even used the fully-equipt. kitchen. I must return!

Excellent Location and coffee!

My parents and I recently spent a few days in San Francisco at the ArtHaven in Twin Peaks Penthouse. The owner is very friendly and helpful. She was there to great us with a tour and gave us some delicious coffee to start our day off with. The location is great and close to public transportation to access the city. great place

we stayed there for a week.
the place lookeed exactly as seen - even a bit bigger. it was clean , very well maintained even in litle details as organic shampoo and conditioner.
the owner who lives by was very helpfull and warm, we felt very wellcomed. i would recomend this place . the neighberhood is very lively - evrybody arround was nice and helpfull.
eventhough there is public transportation i wouldnt stay again without a car. maybe taxies would be a good idea because the street and stairs are very hard to clime .
