-Self catering accommodation (130 m²).
This particular and fascinating Tuscan house is located in the Chianti hills, between Florence and Sienna.
-Ground floor: entrance, large living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen with breakfast table, full bathroom with shower, 'veranda' with a sofa bed queen size and a large window facing the valley.
-First Floor: 1 double bedroom with queen bed and en suite bathroom, 2 double bedroom with single single beds one of which with en suite bathroom.
The house has a wonderful garden-terrace with a jacuzzi mini-pool facing the valley with a wonderful view alternating between vineyards and olive groves.
The house is located at Noce. The closest town is called Tavarnelle Val di Pesa (at 3 km), a small centre with many gourmet and grocery stores, supermarkets, banks, shops and bars, as well as good restaurants.
The villa is in one of the best parts of the Chianti region of Tuscany for daily excursions to visit Florence, or to see the famous towers of San Gimignano, the sites of beautiful Siena, the baths of Montecatini, and is a wine aficionados paradise if you want to sample the many excellent varieties of Chianti. It is only 25 min south of Florence, making it easy to pop into the city for a day of sightseeing, strolling, shopping or even just for dinner. The nearest towns are San Casciano and Tavarnelle in Val di Pesa. Siena is an easy drive and the famous town of Greve in Chianti is only 11 miles away. You can even make a day trip to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa as it is only a one and a half hour drive away as is the graceful town of Lucca.
The villa is perfect, central location, size, amenities, and most importantly, THE VIEW!!! Amazing, and Laura, the owner was very easy to deal with. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable home base, and will most likely stay again at some future time.
We stayed here with friends in October this year...I am still homesick for our Tuscan home away from home!
The villa is very cozy and has lots of charm! The kitchen is well equipped. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms appear to be recently updated.
The location is just perfect as home base while exploring the glorious towns of Tuscany. And the view from the veranda is just breathtaking!
We would most definitely stay there again!!
This was the favourite destination of my 11 yo out of 5 properties over 3 weeks in Italy. The setting is glorious and we were bathed in sunshine for the week. The property is spacious, clean, beautifully renovated and adequately equipped. Beds, Wifi, kitchen and laundry all great. Although we were met by Rosaria who has no English (we have no Italian) all instructions seemed clear and we also got great advice from the information centre in Tavarnelle. There is so much to see within easy driving distance and the longer journeys are pleasurable through the picturesque hillside. Plenty of walking available locally, but you definitely need a car to go to Tavarnelle for food supplies.
From here we did Pisa, Lucca, Sienna, Volterra and a whole range of smaller towns before leaving for accommodation in Florence. You could stay here though and do multiple day trips to Florence if you wanted. You could equally settle down and go nowhere and just enjoy the beautiful views and sunsets with an espresso or a wine on the terrace by the jacuzzi.
