This high-ceilinged lovely old house has a large kitchen, dining and living room. The kitchen has a Chambers stove and is fully equipped. The master bedroom has a cathedral ceiling and a king sized bed. The second bedroom has an antique double bed. The sofas in the dining room and living room are comfortable for sleeping for extra guests.There is a washer/dryer. The backyard has a patio and lovely garden. It is close to Tulane, Loyola law school and the St.Charles Avenue streetcar line. Beautiful Audubon park is four minutes away.There are numerous restaurants, bars and shops on nearby Maple St , Carrolton and St Charles Avenue and Oak St.

This home was just simply charming. I really enjoyed the location as well as the out front parking. The house was very clean and spacious. The beds were really comfortable. I would definitely stay here when I return to New Orleans.

Upon our arrival at this warm and cozy home, we were totally impressed. The web-site pictures does no justice for this lovely home. The front porch has a wonderful rockin swing, just right for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The bedrooms along with the dining room and living area are very, very spacious! The kitchen cooks up wonderful meals on the unique gas stove. The back yard garden is simply lovely with fruit trees. The neighbors are sooo friendly and will give helpful advice. The owners are simply the BEST! Nancy & Steve had everything you would need to be comfortable. Make this your vacation stay, believe me, you won't regret staying, only leaving!

I rented this house for all of October 2012 while conducting research at Tulane. The house is spacious and beautiful with a great patio in back with lovely plantings. The location was perfect for walking everywhere -- Audubon Park, Magazine street, libraries at Tulane and Loyola, cafes and bookshopping on Maple, the St. Charles streetcar. Nancy and Steve were extremely responsive to any questions or needs regarding the house or neighborhood. So glad I got to stay here!

Excellent Stay

Nancy went above and beyond for us. This house is great and we will definitely be staying here again. We had 5 adults and one infant. Sleeping was fine, the bathroom visits required a little coordination, but doable.

Nancy and Steve are simply wonderful.

We rented this lovely house for 3 months over the summer. We have 3 kids under the age of 5. The house was exactly what we were looking for. It was well lit (skylights in the master bedroom and bathroom, plenty of windows). The kitchen was lovely. The old-fashioned gas stove was fantastic. Front verandah with swinging chair, back patio with garden. However, the best part of our stay was clearly the owners, Nancy and Steve. They couldn't have been nicer. Nancy provided our kids with so many things: books, toys, kids chairs, garden hose, plastic bath tub and even a first aid kit. Anything we asked for was arranged for right away. The house easily withstood Hurricane Isaac (and had withstood Katrina as well). Nancy provided the essential items we needed to get through the storm - emergency lights, storm radio etc. The owners live a few minutes away, and were always accessible. Our boys went over to Nancy and Steve's place for a swim and home-made pizza, which was lovely. Since we left light after the storm, there we still had some packages that arrived afer our departure, and had items for movers to pick up. The owners so graciously helped us with these. All in all, Nancy and Streve made our stay such a pleasure; it felt like we were staying with family. We will always look to stay at one of their properties whenever we visit New Orleans.
