This was a great house for our family trip (6 adults, 4 children). The kids loved having the basement area. The property is well maintained both inside and out. The house is away from the busy highway, but still close enough to get to town and attractions within a few minutes. The owners were very helpful to us when we were looking for a place to stay and always got back to us quickly when we had questions. We enjoyed Dollywood, eating at the Apple Barn and riding the new mountain coasters. We loved the house and would definitely recommend it to others. Thank you!
Great place to stay, tons of room! 3-4 families could easily stay in this house. The basement is like a home all to itself. Property is well maintained and just as advertised, very secluded.
Its off the beating path far enough to be quiet, but close enough that you can get back into town within a few minutes.
Beds are very comfortable. House was very clean.
I would definetly rent this house again and recommend to others.
We had an enjoyable 10-day stay at the Mountain House. We liked the quiet of the country, yet it was only an 8-minute drive to the main strip. The house was great for our 4 generations of family. The upstairs was easy for my grandmother to access, while my teens liked the media space and custom pool table downstairs. With 6 queen beds and 2 full kitchens (w/basic accoutrements), there was plenty of room for everyone. Do note that depending on your cell service, reception is sketchy. For us, Verizon fared better than AT&T. And yes, it did have wi-fi. We would recommend it for families and groups..."Secluded Hilltop Home-Great for Large Families/Group Retreats" is a perfect description. (Emphasis on the "secluded hilltop")
We take a family vacation every year and just thought we had fun. Having a home big enough for our entire family to stay was awesome. There is no way we could have rented hotel rooms at the rate we paid for the home. Everything in the home was clean and very beautifully decorated, the children enjoyed themselves as much as the adults. We are looking forward to our trip next year, I believe we have found our vacation home for as long as it will be available. Thank you so much.,
Location, Location!!! when going on a vacation location to activies are paramount especially when you have children travelling with you. The house is ver close to practical all the activies and strip in Gatlingburg and Pigeon Forge area, my family and I spent 5 days and it was awesome. Our kids love the fact they had seperate living quarters apart from the adults and being able to play the xbox games and shoot pool as much as they want and not disturbing the adults.
The house view was excellent overlooking the surrounding hills.
We recommend this place hands down, and will book it again when we are in the area.
I loved the property. The only thing that needed to be more visible was the address. I didn't see the sign for Mountain house until driving by it several times. The number portion of the address needs to be larger. This worked perfectly for my family. We would have liked televisions in each room but we worked that out as well. The property was very clean and fit our family perfectly. I would come back here. It was close enough to the strip for us to get in and out. The attractions were nearby as was a grocery store. Nice location. Driveway is very steep but we made it up and down without any issues.
