Enjoy living by the sea in this vintage, waterfront cottage in Westbrook, CT. Take in spectacular views, of the calm waters of the Long Island Sound and the bright purple sands of Chapman Beach, from nearly every room. Catch the sea breeze without even leaving the water front wraparound porch. There are 5 bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths and the cottage accommodates up to 11 guests. Visit one of the many neighborhood restaurants or enjoy the fully equipped kitchen, which includes an electric stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, and microwave oven. Take advantage of the walk in pantry, loaded with restaurant supplies, including all of the dishes and cooking utensils that you could possibly use. Dine in the kitchen on a table for 4 or expand your crowd and enjoy your meal while overlooking the Long Island Sound on the porch which can seat a much larger group. Have the benefit of sipping your morning coffee while overlooking the water, all from the comfort of your vacation home.

Inside, there is a family room equipped with wireless high speed internet, digital cable including HBO displayed on an LCD tv, and comfortable seating with 2 couches and 2 easy chairs. Additionally, on the first floor you will find a small den equipped with a couch and 2 chairs for games and reading, a half bath, and a large bedroom complete with double size bed and television with digital cable. Walk up stairs to find two bedrooms complete with double beds and waterfront views. The fourth bedroom sleeps 3 with 2 bunk beds a twin bed. The final bedroom sleeps 2 with a twin bed and pull-out trundle. The second floor comes complete with a full size bathroom and clean linens & bath towels provided. There is an outdoor shower with hot/cold running water for easy clean up after a fun day on the beach, lawn, or in the swimming area. Patio furniture and gas grill are provided. Off street parking for several cars so that others can enjoy the day with you. Please no smoking inside and no pets.

Nearest Motorway : I-95 at 2 Miles

Outside of the cottage, there is much to do in this part of the Connecticut shoreline. We are close to historic Old Saybrook, Old Lyme and Essex where you will find excellent restaurants, quaint shops, and antique stores. Additionally, the fisherman in your family will find plenty of party boats and charters in the area. Take your children to visit Mystic Aquarium, Mystic Seaport, take a ride on the Essex Historic steam train, or a cruise on the Connecticut River. Test your luck at Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods casinos located only about a half hour away. Nearby Clinton Crossing and Westbrook Shopping Outlets have many premium stores with deep discounts. For those who enjoy theater, the Goodspeed Opera House, Ivoryton Playhouse, and the Katherine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center are nearby. The Gillette Castle and park grounds are available for hiking and sight seeing.

I just want to say thank you to the owners of this beautiful cottage.... the views and beach were amazing.... The home was cozy and the perfect place my large family.... the kitchen was stocked with every gadget you could imagine.... Spent every day soaking up the sun from the large lawn.. that over looks the ocean...My family is already asking me if we can come back next year... Thank you again for an amazing week.....see you next year....
