This beautiful triplex townhouse offers guest the experience of Harlem at its finest. The townhouse is located in a historic area of Harlem with a park just seconds away. The neighbor hood offers guest the full experience of New York City, while staying in a townhouse. Guest will be able to enjoy the city and be able to come home to a beautiful townhouse that offers a feeling of peace.
Hi Vera, I have been trying to get my review entered. I am happily writing you a 5 star review but it always gets hungup on facebook for some reason
This lovely 3 storey home was perfect for our 3 night stay in Harlem, New York! This home is a gem; 3 lovely bedrooms, with 3 bathrooms, was great for 3 couples travelling together. The home is spotless and there are lovely sitting rooms on both the main and 2nd floor. We ate breakfast together every morning in the dining room with great access to the kitchen. The kitchen has everything you need if you plan to have meals in. With the subway one block away we had access to all of New York at our finger tips. Central Park is only a 15-20 min. walk away. Just around the corner is also another interesting local park that we enjoyed.
The neighbors are very friendly and helpful. I would have to say that many New Yorkers, whether you are on the subway or standing on a corner, if you look at maps, they will stop and ask if they can help you with directions.
The Red Rooster is just 2 blocks away and a great place to have dinner! Live jazz entertainment and great food made this a very fun place to spend an evening. Would also highly recommend the Lion King Musical and Annie Musical Shows.
Vera the owner is delightful and very friendly. She was there to welcome us and answer any of our questions. She had great suggestions for dinners, grocery shopping, shows and parking. She was also very prompt with emailing and arranging accomodations for us ahead of time.
My husband and I would highly recommend this great property to everyone who wants a great vacation in New York. This lovely home is a nice quiet place to return to after a busy day travelling the subways, sightseeing, seeing some shows, shopping and hiking.
This brownstone home in Harlem was so great I don't think my review would do it justice. the exterior was so cute we had Vera take a picture of us before we ever went in.
To start with Vera was so great to work with before we ever made it to New York. She was always very quick with responses to questions we had.
This house was perfect (actually more room than needed) for the 3 couples we stayed with while visiting NYC. We came for the New York marathon and were very pleasantly surprised to find that the course ran right past the cute park that was located just half a block from our front door.
I can't imagine you could ever find a cleaner apartment anywhere....and my husband is picky and pretty observant about the cleanliness of places.
We were so close to the subway (we didn't realize how great this was until we moved to a smaller place later in the stay when it was just the 2 of us and we had to walk a good 15 minutes every time we came and went....that doesn't sound too bad but after a big day of sightseeing and walking...it was nice to be so close)
Before booking we worried a little that it was in Harlem (not really knowing that much about good and bad neighborhoods). We always felt completely safe and loved the gorgeous huge churches that we passed everyday getting to the subway. We even walked to dinner at Harlem Shake around the corner close to midnight the night we got there.
I would definitely recommend without question this cute Brownstone. So much better than staying in a hotel and Vera was great to work with and very friendly. I only hope I can return again sometime with a group so we could stay here again.
Felt safe and secure in this very clean, comfortable and spacious home
Lovely decorative touches
Great location near subway
Walked to Central Park
Parked on street in front of house
We stayed for a weekend, and the house is beautiful and a perfect place to stay. The house is around the corner from the subway and only a 10 minute walk to the north side of Central Park. There are plenty of great restaurants in the area.
This is a great rental for either a family or a group of friends who are going to spend any amount of time in NYC. Having 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms is a luxury in NYC, and the townhouse is very well appointed, and would be great for a longer stay.
Vera, the owner, was fantastic. She met us there right when we got in and provided an in-depth tour and even recommended some places to go. She was there if we needed anything, but we had no issues.
We ate at Red Rooster and Sylvia's (both 2-3 blocks away), and both were fantastic. I would absolutely recommend this to my family and friends, but also to anyone else visiting NYC.
Stayed for a week in this house in early April 2013 and can't recommend it highly enough. The house is immaculate, beautifully furnished and decorated, and spotlessly clean.
It is a classic New York brownstone townhouse
Harlem is a historic, vibrant neighborhood and makes you feel that you have experienced the real New York and not just the usual tourist spots
As other reviewers have noted the location is convenient for transport links and Central Park is within easy walking distance.
The owner, Vera, is helpful and friendly and did everything possible to ensure we enjoyed and made the most of our stay.
Highly recommended and would love to return one day!
Our family of 6 (4 children ages 5-13) stayed in this beautiful home over New Year's holiday. The neighborhood is very safe and friendly. Subway is only a few minutes away as is large grocery store. Great restaurants around the corner. House beautifully furnished and extremely clean. Owner very responsive to needs and great with communication. Would highly recommend this property.
This beautiful historic area that is Harlem, offers visiters everything. Mount Morris Park is the location of the townhouse. It has parks, movie theaters and many shops to explore. Central Park is 15 minutes away and the 2, 3 trains can take you to Times Square in 20 minutes.
