Love history and old houses wanted to preserve a little piece of the past.
Tom purchased this cottage in 2009
Wanted to preserve a piece of Naples history. The house was originally owned by Mrs.Frederick who the street was named after. Became a personal goal to restore her home to the beautiful home it was in 1925. Worked very hard to restore it to original in every detail inside and out. Thank you to all the people that stopped to say what a great job I was doing and how great it looked. Your kind words and encouragement wre greatly appreciated.
Its a real old Florida experience in a 1925 cottage that was owned by a women who I,m still trying to find out more about. In 1925 there were 300 residents in Naples.
We had a wonderful time here in Naples. The beaches ! The shopping ! The food ! Loved your olde style Florida cottage. We both appreciated all the little details that made it so charming and cute. Wonderful location and having the bikes was a fantastic addition to our holiday. Thanks for being so accommodating.
My husband and I rented this cottage for a week this winter and found it to be a delightful experience. The cottage is decorated with furnishings from the 1920's, but at the same time has all of the modern conveniences. Tom, the owner, stopped by and gave us the historical background which was quite interesting. The bicycles he provided were helpful for sightseeing the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and plan on returning next winter.
First of all, Tom is outstanding to work with and was helpful to us every step of the way.
Cozy and comfortable - great spot to be able to get to beaches and 5th Ave South. We look forward to returning - I think that is the best compliment one could give.
This is a lovely little cottage, perfect for the two of us. Everything we needed, all amenities, Tom's generous hospitality and attention to detail made for a wonderful stay. The antiques are amazing, like staying in a time capsule from 1930+/- with all the updated conveniences of the present. We loved having coffee in the sunroom and backyard, quiet and private, the cottage is immaculate and a pleasure to call "home" for a week. We'll be back!
Extremely clean, convenient, and pleasantly decorated cottage, we enjoyed biking and walking to town but also used our rental car. The house was in fine shape, the owners did a great job with all the details, nice place especially if you can appreciate the age of the house. We both recommend it and the owner was helpful and responsive. Nice location, close to things if you don't care about being right on the ocean. Skillets is a must for breakfast.
What a wonderful cottage, perfect to escape to after busy beach days in Naples. Truly felt the "old Florida" ambience, surrounded by antiques representing a simpler time, yet all the comforts and amenities to meet your every need.
The outdoor kitchen and backyard seating are so relaxing! Perfectly located to access all Naples has to offer. We hope to return. Thank you Tom for being a perfect host and sharing your home!
We had a wonderful experience staying at this cozy cottage. The place exceeded our expectations. It is convenient to Tin City, 5th and 3rd Streets, and the beaches nearby were just beautiful. The outside grill deck, and furniture made for a relaxing experience. The owner, Tom, was a pleasure to work with and we hope to be back soon.
