Lily Cottage, Lavender Cottage, The Stables and La Forge complete with modern fully fitted kitchens ideal for families or couples, bed linen provided. Cot and high chair available. If you are looking for a romantic break or a fun-filled family holiday these cottages are ideal for summer holidays but also very tempting all year round. Facilities include heated swimming pool, 9 hole mini golf, table tennis, badminton, football nets as well as a games room with air hockey and pool table. You'll never be bored. All gites have satellite TV/DVD, as well as your own private patios complete with BBQs. Enjoy a relaxing summer holiday with lots of things to keep the children amused whilst you relax around the heated swimming pool. Beautiful countryside with the Bordeaux wine fields and Cognac close by. All gites have 2 stars awarded by the Tourist Board

I have just returned from a week's stay with a friend at La Forge cottage at Gites de Brettes. We were given an excellent welcome and the gite was in a lovely secluded location but within easy distance for day trips to Cognac and Bordeaux. The gite was well equipped and we enjoyed using the excellently maintained swimming pool on site. It didn't take us long to wind down from the fast pace of life in London and I could easily have spent another week or two at the Gites de Brettes. The Charente region has so many places to explore. Lynne and David were really helpful when needed and were professional and friendly to deal with from the first enquiry through to our final goodbye. Thanks for a lovely stay. I would recommend the Gites de Brettes, especially if you have a children -they will love the outdoor heated pool and games room!
