Peppercorn Cottage is located in the centre of South Brent, a pretty village on the southern slopes of Dartmoor National Park, within easy access of the A38 Exeter to Plymouth express way. The cosy and compact 200 year old two bedroomed cottage offers clean, comfortable accommodation for a maximum of three people, the close proximity of its courtyard setting to local shops and amenities make it ideal for a self-catering summer holiday rental. South Brent is a thriving community with businesses, school, village hall and community centre and boasts a range of shops supplying quality local produce, as well as all the necessities of daily life. There is also a Co-op Supermarket - open 7 days a week. FREE parking is available for cars and bicycles in the Station yard.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A deposit of 1/3 of the total price is required to secure the property + a separate cheque/payment of £50 for the SECURITY & KEY deposit, the balance of all the money being due 6 WEEKS before arrival. The SECURITY & key cheque/payment will be returned/reimbursed provided the key is left behind/no damage at the property. Out of season there is an additional £15 heating supplement. For bookings arriving within 6 weeks, payment must be made in full at the point of booking, by Paypal (NB paypal fees apply and will be deducted from £50 security deposit), on-line banking, or personal cheque. (Personal cheques will take 3-5 business days to clear).
    Please note that bookings are normally FRIDAY to FRIDAY - but possible Saturday to Saturday bookings will be considered in special circumstances, if possible.
    Short breaks (min. 3 nights) are accepted at some times of the year where stated.
  • Duvets, pillows and bedlinen are provided. Please bring your own towels and tea towels.

Notes: OUTSIDE: There are a total of four cottages that share access to 'Sunnyside', and the small but charming courtyard terrace.There is a garden bench opposite the stable door to Peppercorn Cottage, where you can sit and relax. SUITABILITY: The property is unsuitable for very small children, or those who have difficulty with mobility as the stairs are semi open-plan and typically steep and narrow.

Assurance of Good Quality: We have owned Peppercorn Cottage for five years and use it for our own holidays throughout the year. As an ongoing project to improve the accommodation and facilities to ensure the comfort of our guests, we change, update, replace and renew as a matter of course, without losing that 'country cottage' feel as befits a dwelling of its age.

Parking: Peppercorn Cottage is just off the main street, where there parking is some parking available. The village also has a free car park in the old Station yard.

Other Activities: Arts & crafts, markets, historic houses.

Excellent base , spotless, the owners have done very well with the limited space they had , fully equipt, would rent again
