Enjoy racing go-carts, zip-lining, horseback riding, golfing and picnicking in the gazebo all within the comfort of your backyard. If you are training for a marathon or a bike tour, you can run or bike for hours around the neighborhood or on the scenic forested and marked trails by the creek. Inside of this authentic country style plantation home you can unwind and relax after a long day of fun. The home is furnished with new leather and wood furniture and feels just like the home you grew up in. This relaxing vacation getaway is exactly what every traveler needs within the hustle and bustle of Houston, Texas.

*****One of my favorite hobbies is cooking, with 24 hours notice we can be your chef one evening and prepare any of the following menu (using all organic ingredients) and serve it in Gazebo or any place in the property, picnic style or sitting around dining table.

1.Tender broiled wild salmon on a bed of wild rice, a side of crispy golden finger potatoes & sweet potatoes; organic salad, homemade Tiramisu for a light and sweet dessert. 45

My name is Sam Rush. My wife, daughter, son and I all live just across the lawn from the property's back yard, so we can help make your stay most comfortable.

Clean and Comfortable Vacation Home!

This was a beautiful vacation home perfect for our needs. The description was exactly as we found the property. It was spacious and very clean and not far from Highway 290. It was a quick 40 minutes to Rice University where we attended our daughter's graduation ceremony. The neighborhood was nice, quiet and the trees and nature were lovely. If you want to visit Houston and stay in a nice spacious house, this is the place to stay!

Fantastic place to stay

We came in from Norway for a months vacation in Houston and could not be more happy with our stay. The house is very clean and spacious and the owners have provided everything you may possibly need for your stay. We traveled with our children ages 9 months to 13 years old and everyone had so much fun. The kids loved the zip line and to play soccer in the big yard. The baby loved to check out the chickens and the horses. There were movies and toys for the kids at the house, and the house was even baby proofed.
Before we came we had decided to spend our last night in Houston at a fancy hotel, but we loved the house so much we changed our plans and spent our last night at the house.
Thank you so much to Sam and Mary, we had a great time at your house and it was great to get to know you. We will be back the next time we come to Houston.

Great place and the best host of all

We spent only 5 days since the property was reserved for the christmas-new year season, my wife and 2 children were truly happy in this property which is and feels like "home" . The pictures in the web page do not do justice to this place nor tmake you feel the warmth of this beautiful area, everything in house was of use, the bikes, the kitchen, the carts, picking eggs in the morning, etc etc etc. I have not words enough to thank Sam and his wife for being such incredible hosts. Everyone
(incuding myself) wants to be back at this house in the very near future.

Wonderful Stay in Houston

We had a wonderful stay at the house in Houston. The house is very spacious and the amenities are just what anyone would need. The kids enjoyed the go-karts and my daughter absolutely loved getting to ride Prince. The owners were delightful and it is so nice to have them right there on the property for any questions. The pictures do not do the home justice. This is a great getaway and we will return. Thanks so much!

Relaxing vacation

We LOVED staying at this home for our winter vacation. The description and pictures on line don't do enough justice to this property. We enjoyed have a home away from home with all the items available to make our stay so easy. This property is located so conviently close to all of the Houston area so that we could come and go with ease (base of course of Houston traffic!) but also located in an area that you felt removed from the big city hussle. Our hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel almost a part of their extended family. The two minor items that came up (lightbulbs and such) were taken care of promptly and even when the power went out for a hours, they checked to make sure all was okay with us. An added bonus was the horses and chickens here so that we could enjoy thier antics. We did use the bikes, the zip line and the firepit, we able to do a variety of things without leaving here. We especially enjoyed the walks through the neighborhood and along the creek. I would highly recommend this property to anyone coming to the Houston area.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
